Rob Liefield is not an artist, he don care about art, for him, comics is just and only busyness, and the name of the game is money! so... we can request to much a person that thiks like that!

the only thing that I can say with those ejamples, is that photos are use for a lot of artist, includeing Alex Ross, so you cant say nothig negative to him about it!

Does anyone remember that issue of Superman (during the Loeb/ Mcguiness run) where there were a ton of guest artists? It was a Christmas issue, and the likes of Art Adams, Joe Madureira, and Liefeld himself drew installments in that issue.

Liefeld did a 2 or 3 page story with Supes and Aquaman. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't that bad. Probably some of the besst proportions he's ever done. Then again, no telling what he used for "reference"

I think I know what he means about the Superman Returns plot not grabbing kids though, especially after watching the incredible JL Unlimited on YouTube yesterday. The episode where Superman fights Doomsday in the volcano. Serious superhuman action and surprisingly violent.
And in fairness Rob DID say he will LOVE the movie regardless. I think kids will be more excited when they see a trailer with Spiderman fighting Sandman and Venom. With Superman all they can get excited about is a plane crashing and a continent of coal rising from the ocean.
Still I too will most probably like Superman Returns lot. X2 is still the bomb.

i knew someone was gonna say that. how am i being a jerk? i'm not going up to him and calling his artwork trash. his proportions are similar to the way Liefeld would make his and if that offends him then i'm sorry. if someone came up to me and told me my drawings look like Liefeld's then i'd be disappointed but it's not like they're calling my work utter trash...i was just referring to the proportions of Superman, not the rendering.

if you wanna call that jerky of me, fine...but i don't consider it disrespect until it becomes hateful and i'm not hating on the 3d model of Supes (i actually think it looks pretty darn cool)...i'm hating on Liefeld.
