But was he that young in the comics? I thought he was like 12 or something.
Nope. That is one of the things that makes the connection to Bruce so special...same age or similar as when Bruce experiences that trauma.

All Star Robin is a way better character than Robin usually has been portrayed as.IzzyJG99 said:I blame Frank Miller and Jim Lee for ruining Robin. It's not the first time Frankie boy's done that. Which is exactly why Batman should stay solitary for at least 3 films before Robin is introduced.batmaluco said:I must admit that I don't hate Robin.
I think it's a lame character, yes, it was made because the censorship found Batman too dark and violent, so, in order to sell more comics and not to suffer further censorships, the editors demanded a teenage sidekick and that Batman shouldn't kill his enemies like he did in the beginning. Some changes were for good, I like Batman not being a cold hearted killer.
But I don't like Robin.
This doesn't make me a Robin hater, I don't hate Robin or any fictional character, that would be just ridiculous, if you ask me.
I don't want to be based in hate in any situation, for me this is the basis of nazi.
That's why I love the Denny O'Neil/Neal Adams' Batman: he was calm and self-controlled, he was the world greatest detective! Being calm and self-controlled, Robin wasn't needed at all "to keep Batman grounded on reality".
And I even agree that Robin could be made in a good way, if done right, and that the character evolved from years of development. And if the franchise continues after this trilogy, he may eventually show up, sooner or later, anyway.
Maybe he deserves his own franchise, and I would certainly watch such movie!
It's only a matter of personal preference.
I just prefer Batman as a lone wolf, a solitary and self-controlled dark knight, with some help from Gordon, Alfred, Dent (before Two-Face), Oracle.
I wouldn't care if Robin doesn't appear until several movies, he takes away this from Batman: his loneliness.
WTF?Wesyeed said:That'd be bliss seeing an older laurence fisburne batman training a neo robin... matrix style.... oh nolan, make it happen....
It'd definitely echo the ducard/bruce training scenes.
