No, nolan did not say that. He said "we're not interested in Robin right now" which means not in BB2. BB3? Maybe. If he stays for 4? maybe.

Indeed, he never said anything about future films. Though he did mention the character might not appear while he's still onboard as director. The sequel most likely won't have him, due to him still being an infant. A fourth film seems like the right time to bring him in, let alone age a bit.

I think they should introduce Him as they did for Joker, only later on in the Batman Movies. What i mean is that they could introduce him near the end, his tragedy occurs then Bruce Addopts him, and Dick somehow finds the cave and it ends off with Bruce agreeing to train him. Then in the next film we see Robin, that would be the best way to show it.

It's a polite way of saying, 'Don't want Robin but don't want angry fans not going to see my sequels either. So, no Robin unless I'm out of the franchise, by the fourth film.'

Two-Face killing Robin's parents in a circus that so much like Batman Forever, I do NOT want remember when I'm watching that. Tony Zucco should kill his parents.
