i wouldn't mind the introduction of the boy at the end of the 3rd movie whenever batman kicks twoface's ass after harvey kills the parents. i mean the very end -- like after the credits.
i don't know if you're serious but i'm pretty sure that Two Face didn't kill robins parents, and i wouldn't want to see that Batman Forever basis also. who killed his parent in the comic after Long Halloween? also i forget what the comic was called, Haunted Knight?

We don't know that, Sure Nolan might not return for 4th but could be done by different director or he could return for a 4th movie.
But we DO know Bale hates Robin. So a 4th movie, without Nolan and WITH Robin, would probably mean no Bale.

Lord almighty, not again.

No robin, no robin threads, no robin..............yet.

Sorry guys I didn't know you chat this subject before...

But I think it is a mistake to remove Robin in the new franchise. Robin is a part of Batman history, He has been there since ever. The solution is not to deny Robin but to do a cool character of him.

No offense or anything Superhey, but you're not presenting any new arguments. We've heard all the takes on why/how he could be included in the franchise. Everyone pretty much has their side and since ego's reign supreme, you're not gonna convince anyone on here any differant, just start up arguments that we've all been through before. Truth is, robin won't be in the next two films, and riightfully so. There could be hope for a darker robin the the future, maybe in films 5 or 6, but not anytime soon. For now, lay off the robin and get into the Joker/Two-face Actor debates lol. Those ones seem to be the most on-going.

If you thought REALLY hard, though, it should have been completely obvious. Even if you didn't think, if you SEARCHED through the threads we have... you'd have seen LOTS of Robin threads, and they all usually devolve into the same argument.

Actually he has not. When Batman was first created, there was no Robin. Robin was added in later, during a time when sidekicks seemed like a good idea to somebody. Robin was popular and so he stuck around for a long, long time. But Robin does often disappear for various reasons, usually directed related to the fact that most writers prefer not to have him there.

The solution is not to deny Robin but to do a cool character of him.

I agree. But if that happens, it should not be until the 4th film, I think. Besides, Nolan and Bale both seem pretty firmly convinced that Robin should not be there, so I would not expect him to be.

Anjow, I LOVE your sig. So many times I have nearly used that line myself, but something stayed my hand. Good job.

I wouldn't say he hates the character, Bale just feels like he shouldn't be introduced just yet...

Some of the quotes from Bale I have seen seem to border on hatred for the character

What if when Robin is introduced Batman is getting to obsessed with being Batman and become a bit more violent. Bruce Wayne adopts Dick Grayson. Dick finds the cave. Becomes Robin. But, although he's fighting crime along side Batman. Alfred has also made Robin keep an eye on Batman and make sure he doesn't lose his humanity.

But how do you show that on film? Are you actually going to see Alfred pull Robin aside and say something like "Rememba watch for the loss 'o humanity in Masta Bruce"? And if Bruce did start to lose it and was beating someone mercialessly, what the hell could Robin do about it? I DO NOT want to see Robin fighting Batman at all.

The theory is okay, but I see it coming off as weak and somewhat humorous (in a bad way) if it was actually done on film.

Screw Robin, he's for the kids and the nerds. If they put Robin in one of these Christian Bale says he won't do it. Sooooo...... **** Robin!

That's not true

Does anyone remember what screwed up the last franchise. "Hey Mr. Keaton will you be in Batman 3 if Robin is in it?", studios. Keaton sighs, "Ummm....No!" the studio guy sighs as well and says, "Okay, see ya. Hey!", studio guy shouts to secretary, "Can we get Val Kilmer in here pronto and tell Burton to let us buy the rights already!"

Robin ruined it once should we try try again?

Robin has been ruining the whole Batman concept for decades.

That was then, this is now. Even though Nolan has commented about Robin's future, only he himself knows when the time is right in order for him too make an appearence. Right now, he doesn't feel the need of introducing him yet.

Nolan said he's a fan of the west version so that leads me to believe he'd have some appreciation for the boy wonder's role of batman's old chum.

Really? When was that?
