A boy in tights who lives with a adult

Joking a side, I think 4th movie is the way to bring Robin in.

CConn explained why Robin should be in 4th:

The reason I'd want to keep him out of the third is so that there's a clear...starting point for him. You'll have a trilogy with Batman, tie up all the plotlines started in BB and BB2, then have everyone else start coming in later. That way, I think, the people who don't like Robin, can have their trilogy of Batman films, and the people who do, will have 4, 5, etc.

I think Robin should come in before Batgirl, if she ever comes into the series.

Besides, Barbara hasn't even been introduced as a character yet anyway.

Okay gangstaman, Nolan said himself that at some point he might bring Robin in, just not yet. Get your facts straight, buddy.
no he said that he wont do robin as long as he's in the franchise.

damn it nolan never said that he would do robin! he friggin said that robin wont be in it as long as he's in the fricken movies! batman doesnt need a sidekick. he'd just screw up the seriousness and darkness of the film. with his bright suit his stupid chipper attitude and his stupid lame name!!

source?

why do people hate robin so much.

To me that's like not wanting an alfred anymore. They're both key players in his mythos or whatever.

the father figure and the son figure... the heart of the dark knight. The two people he loves and cares for most, and keep him anchored in reality... (example: Alfred in begins. that's his job, to keep bruce from being consumed by the beast he creates. Making him go to parties and live a little.)

cmon.

Someone posted it on here a while back, from an interview with Nolan.

And can't you just post everything in one post, instead of posting like 4 times?

If you forget something, there's this great little invention:

I don't remember the source, but I do recall Nolan saying neither that he would or wouldn't bring Robin in. His actual quote was something like "Robin's in a cradle somewhere. He shouldn't be in the series until I'm long gone."

I recall hearing that too. I know Robin will not be in Nolan's films, but I have still argued as to how he could be in and how it would be good.

so as i said before hopefully nolan will finish the whole series before he leaves so we wont have to suffer BF, BR all over again!!

We will not have to suffer BF and BR all over again if they do Robin right this time.

Robin was not what ruined BF and B&R.

Yea...even though they went with a different story for Robin it was the director and other crap like the neon lights that messed it up.

Don't lie. He said that tehy weren't interested in Robin in begins because its about a young Batman. And Robin isn't until a few pictures and that he doubts he'll be involved by the time Robin is in the franchise.

And when asked if they could bring robin in without dumbing down the franchise. He said possibly, but he can't really talk specifics. So get your facts right mate.

I agree it wasn't Robins fault. Although the Batman Forever Robin was better than what he was in Batman and Robin. I mean in the B&R they camped him down to much as well as Batman. Not just Robin.

I'm not for the girl Robins. I thought the stories behind them sucked in the comics. If he's gonna have a girl sidekick it should be Batgirl, who I think would work better than Robin.

Yeah, but i bet you'd like a girl robin if they gave her the sixties costume.

OK, this scent this topic is here anyway, here's my idea for robin that I made a long time ago on the different thread, not that i think robin should be in the movie.
I think, with the Joker coming in, its the perfect time to introduce Robin or at least a young Dick Grayson. They don’t have to use the death of the Grayson’s as a intro for a villain like two face or, who every. Ok, so here’s how you bring him into the story line in the next movie, the Jokers around and pulling crimes, Batman is looking for where the Joker maybe hiding out, right. So, where do you go to find a clown, (Alfred)”It appears the Circus is in town, sir. Perhaps Mr. Wayne, should make an appearance” Bruce goes to the show with a girl on each arm (in true playboy style) and after viewing a great preferment’s by The Flying Grayson’s, featuring the youngest of the family, Richard. After the show Bruce ducks back sage to check things out well sneaking around He over hears, from one of the back room some strong-arm gangster thugs, trying to muscle they way in to a cut of the Circus profits. The Grayson stand up to the guys, and refuses. The thugs start to threaten them, Bruce listing the whole time, walks in to the room, (playing off like he’s looking to meet the crew and give a donation, or something) interrupting the thugs, and they get scared off, recognizing Bruce Wayne as a big figure in the commutate. They walk out the door, muttering under they breath ”This ain’t over.” Bruce meets the Grayson including young Dick, commence on young Dick‘s preferment, they all leave, and go home. That night the Thugs return to the were the Grayson’s are staying and takes them out all but young Dick, who left the room (to go for a glass of water or to the bathroom or something) who comes back, to finds his family die. Meanwhile batman was out on patrol during all this, and heard over the police scanner, about a Shooting in that area and headed over. He gets there just in time to find Dick standing over and staring at his die Family. Batman, is torn between, helping Dick and comforting him, (like no one did for him, remembering his own Parents) or Trying to go after the thugs who have already gotten a way. He goes in and takes Dick out of they, brings him to Gordon, the police keep him under they care waiting for home services, and Bruce comes in saying he heard about what happen and is welling to take Dick in under legal guardianship.
This wouldn’t take up much of the story line and it would be more of a background story, which would still work around the event of the Joker story line.
Have young Dick Grayson be around 13-14. Bruce takes him in as a ward of the state, from here keep him in the back ground just as a side character around the mansion, show some drama between him and Bruce with him cursing Bruce to remember his own parents death. Have him find out about him being batman at the end of the 2nd movie, (with him finding one of the hidden passages to the bat cave) and continue it in to the 3rd, throughout the 3 rd movie show scenes of Dick training with Bruce, drag it out through the whole movie, of him train coming to terms with his parents death, and wanting revenge and with the burden of having this secret to keep . End the 3rd with Bruce final agreeing to let him join him, saying something, like, “ The crime in this city may be geting to much for one person to take on maybe I could use some help! What do you say Dick?” and show them designing him weapons and a suit. 4th movie, bring Robin in full out with suit and all.

I know its long if you'v read this far I am very impressed lol

You want Robin in Batman 2? Not gonna happen.

Yeah, Robin shouldnt' even be a character until the third or fourth film, preferrably the fourth. The second film is just far too early for Batman to even consider taking in a sidekick, since he's still new himself.

What if at the end of his training Batman takes Dick out and capture Tony Zoucco Dick is wearing a mask. Batman gives him a sword and tells him to kill Zoucco. Like Ra's did to Bruce. But, this tiem the test is not to kill him but to spare him. Batman wants to see if Dick will keep his compassion and nver kill even the most dangerous criminals.

Very cool idea. I love Dark Victory and all but it somewhat bothered me how Robin beat the crap out of Zucco with a wooden bo and Zucco's heart gave out.
