RogueDK's art dump

Can't believe I haven't commented here before. Great, great art on these pages. Always nice to see artists on this level present their work with comments on communitys like this. And it clearly runs in the family, would be interesting to see what that might turn out to in the future.

Funny that Adams and Aparo was mentionend earlier. They were also my favourites way back then as a kid, although of course Kirby, Swan and others had impact too.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my thread, 3rdstone. I really appreciate it. And Jack Kirby is my son's favorite comic book artist. He's just kind of unconventional for his generation, to what he thinks real comic art should look like to be so young. He's really not too fazed with today's artists outside of a couple (Coipel in particular) and only buys the old reprint trades of the 60s-80s.

He just doesn't see the passion in books like there used to be...his words, not mine.

Here's a page from my action/horror comic that I've been working on inbetween doing other commissions and work of course. Hope you all like it.

As you know, I love all your work. I am always in awe of your talent. :)

Man your compositions and panels are awesome, great inking style too!

:applaudLooking around, and so enjoying this. You do such gorgeous work...

Just a quick doodle I did last night in brush & ink. Thought I'd share this to all interested.

I'm starting to have more free time, so I'd love to try coloring something of yours.

Dude, I love your work. I mostly...well, only, use pencils because I never learned how to ink nor color. So my stuff is usually in black and white. But the way you make your art come alive just through pencils is amazing.

Panthro, my friend...thanks so much. :yay:

webhead, please pardon me for not responding sooner but I've been busy and away. I'm sure that I can find a few pieces for you to color in your spare time. Let me know.

BrooklynWolf, thanks so much for the comps. Inking is trial & error; I'd prefer to have someone skilled in that to ink my work but I got tired of asking around, waiting for one to become available and such. Just take the bull by the horns so to speak. :word:

Here's a doodle I did on a small board the other night and put a little color to it in PS:

Nice. Very nice. :woot:

I really enjoy your line quality, man. Lots of nice variation.

Absolutely proffesional grade work. I've collected comics for 35 years and love your take on the classic DC characters. I must say I am big fan of black and white..so your inking is class A.

Juggertha, thank you for dropping in to check out my work. I try, I guess. :yay:

KYM, you a DC fan too? I'm glad you like my stuff and please don't be a stranger. Thanks. :word:

Thank you for stopping by, flyboy.

It is professional grade. I love your doodling :)

Wow, your pencil, ink, and coloring improve so much since first page.... I really looking thru ever page of them, it's a lot of growth there. Keep it up, your full potential hasn't reach to its fullest yet.

LOL. Thanks for saying so. The minute I convince myself that there's no need for improvement is the minute I've wasted my time.

I can barely look at some of my old pieces because I dislike them just a little but I imagine alot of artists feel that way about their earlier work as well.
