No need to worry mate, this is a ridiculously small amount of reviews compared to what we'll eventually get. This movie could be sitting at a 20% with only 15 reviews and I wouldn't completely go into panic mode yet. There's no telling what will happen in the next few weeks.

But mark my words, there is a ZERO % chance this movie ends up rotten. It could end up in the 70s, 60s at worst, but not under 50%. For real, people can mark this page, make a bet with me, and I promise i'll follow through if that happens

because Thor didnt have previous incarnation of characters or story. Because it's Marvel, everything which have name Marvel or Nolan on it it's the BEST, even if movie sucks. It's kind a sad we live in that kind of world.

I'm with ya, there is NO WAY this movie ends up a rotten.

I'll loose all faith in humanity if that happens.

edit: the score alone (the only thing I've fully experienced) warrants a fresh rating lol

Yeah, anything :P

.....Spongebob, I'm scared D: It feels like this time The Amazing Spiderman 2 can't get over the negative hill. This time, it's the biggest one.

Thor: The Dark World got a 65% fresh rating while The Amazing Spider-Man got a 73% fresh rating.

What does that even mean? It's average rating is 8.3, at this rate there is no way this film is going to be received that well. Sony would have had to been trolling everyone with a rough cut or something.

15 reviews in............

It's way too early to say where this will end up on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.

Believe me, we'd know if we had a movie that was going to rival SM2 in terms of critical reception by now. Unless reactions wildly shift out of nowhere it's not going to happen, I'm not even being cynical right now, it's statistically impossible unless, as I said, there's a pretty massive shift in terms of perception.

Joe, wait a few more days, the movie hasn't gotten a full release yet.

We're 15 reviews in and have yet to receive a perfect score on RT, and that's mainly coming from the UK press, which is typically a lot more forgiving than the US.

It's not 100% impossible that the film could reach the 90%, but it's extremelly improbable considering what we have.

Optimism is fine as long as it doesn't start sliding into naivete, and that's when it can start to sound a bit delusional.

This could be a Muppets 2 case sure, but we have thus far indicates that the film will be lucky to keep its' head over the 70s. Most films, lead alone CBMs, that are in the 90s had a hype around them beyond what we have now, an aura almost. You KNEW this was going to be something special by the just the initial reactions. Our initial reactions however, suggest that the film is pretty good. Not awful, not bad, not average, but pretty good, which is fine, but pretty good isn't great, it's not fantastic, it's not sterling.

Honestly, I'm not concerned about critics. I'm concerned about my own opinion. From what I've seen so far, I'd say I'll love this film to death, and I could care less about the reviews. Of course, I hope the film ends up being well-received, but really the only thing I want is to like it. Critics don't have an influence on my opinion.

Anyways, it's still too early to tell how good it'll do on RT. But if I really had to take a guess, I'd say 70-79%.

First off I don't have any optimistic feelings towards the franchise so no need to worry about that. lol

I'm just saying it could easily stay in postive territory on those two websites. I agree that it's doubtful that the postive reviews are going to suddenly turn stellar. I too do not see the film getting a 90% fresh rating.
