It´s 88% now, Superman is flying again!MoreCowbell said:Curious.. 15/17 is 88.2% yet RT has 87%. How do you screw up simple math?

Dude, seriously there are some dumbasses posting there. I mean one guy, who I am sure has not seen the movie gave it a ZERO because the cast was wrong in his words. WTF? Then another wiseass decides to make a point by giveing SR a ZERO. The same dude gave Crap-Men 3 a 10.
I will make a point to post there after I have actually SEEN the film! Those asses piss me off.

LadyVader said:Even so, why is everybody complaining that 82% is not enough? Batman Begins had 83% and it achieved that with a much stronger and well known cast.
LadyVader said:Is that a new law or something? In the end all that really matters is what the fans feel.
But the question is, why? LadyVader is referring to the most important aspect of a movie is personal enjoyment of said movie. Critical and financial success is only important for lame fanboy wars and pissing contests. I mean, what happens if you hate the movie and it goes on to make billions worldwide? If you hate the movie, does the financial success really matter to you?Cinemaman said:Fans have worries about success of this movie, criticaly and in box office.

LadyVader said:I understand that, and it is okay for us to worry cause we care about the character more then the average movie goer. But we should not set standards like this
"Oh, it has to reach 85%!"
Because you don't know what is going to happen. And film critique is not an exact science. 85% is just a number. You can't put a number on the heart of a movie, on what it makes you feel.
If you're worried about future movies, then don't worry. The producers of this film only listen to their dead friends on the dollar bills.![]()
LadyVader said:Why is rottentomates so pivotal for Superman Returns' succes? It is just a site which I doubt is frequented by everybody that goes to the movies.
The succes of a movie is ultimately measured in money. And if the fans are going to like it, which I'm sure is what will happen, it will make lots and lots of money!
Heretic said:Rottentomatoes is "important" because its basically just takes a whole crapload of reviews form every reviewer who has any kind of cred (and some with shakier cred than Bob Doles hand) and they compile it all together into ratings...if that makes any sense...
