yeah I'm not saying that isn't the case, I meant I don't think anyone should be able to directly control his actions once he has transformed. have scenarios like this ever risen in the comics?
Yeah he's been mind controlled (and/or manipulated) in the comics. Happened a lot in the old issues. But as said above, you don't have to necessarily mind control him, just get him really mad and aim him in the right direction.

I do lean towards thinking SW had something to do with this. In that scene with Tony and Steve chopping wood, it was implied that SW "showed" them all something that made them start freaking out (except for Steve), so perhaps Hulk isn't necessarily under her control, but still suffering from a sort of vision that has caused him to go off.

He just looked REALLY angry to me. His eyes are bloodshot and he has an enraged look on his face. Maybe something sets him off, and then seeing the Hulkbuster armor REALLY sets him off because he sees it as his friend (Tony) "betraying" him. And then Natasha comes in an calms him down.
These are also good observations. He does look angrier than usual. And Hulk does tend to react very badly towards betrayal in the comics. Tony going against him would definitely qualify as something that would make him madder.

i think it will have to do with natasha. maybe she does die and that's the hulk's reaction to it. the red eye could actually mean he was possibly crying just a moment before the rage. like they touch hands and then something shoots and kills natasha. he looks down crying and then in a rage turns around is ready to destroy whatever it was that killed her.

You know, I was going to say Widow won't die but this actually could make a lot of sense, if Ultron kills Widow, Hulk could just get ridiculously angry and start attacking Stark blaming him.

Probably still not likely, cos I give Widow dying about a 2% chance, but possible and certainly could make sense.

Agreed on all counts, Iron Man's impressiveness is starting to wear thin. Yeah Hulk looks even better than he did in TA.

Oh and if Thor fights Ultrons drone like he fought those Frost Giants I'll lose my minx.
About time for him to really let loose. Would love to see him use lightning on tonnes of them at a time. Could be some really great visuals for that.

Thor has always had more power but unlike Hulk he actually takes care not to unleash it so that collateral damage is kept to a minimum. Hulk doesn't go out of his way to **** up bystanders, but if you're in the way of his target...that's the thing. I'm still laughing wondering how many people got trampled in Avengers when he was smashing through cubicles in that building.

Hulk doesn't care just like Superman doesnt. :o

(Had to, sorry...)

Honestly I don't think the Chitauri were a big enough threat to push Thor to go all out. Plus like you guys have stated it was too many civilians, hopefully they fight Ultron is a less populated area.

Now back to the man of the hour Hulk, I'm really liking his more visceral fighting style in this film. He didn't really use a lot of environmental weapons in TA but he seems to be doing a lot of heavy lifting this time.

True that, just like his comic book version!

That's what Hulk does best, nothing says I'm angry like using the environment as weapons.

Loved the Thor comic where he smashed a whole train on Thors head (carriages and all).

That was badass, I really wanna see Hulk do a lot more heavy lifting this time around.

Did anyone else notice that Hulk seems "faster" and more combat savvy this time around ?

Maybe a result of andy serkis mentoring Ruffalo on his hulk.

I like seeing Hulk use objects too. Makes things more interesting and shows that he has some intelligence and good instincts. I also liked in the 08 movie how he put out the fire by slapping his hands. That's another classic Hulk move that I wouldn't mind seeing again.

Not sure but he definitely seems angrier (Tony's involvement probably isn't helping matters).

Yes, the thunderclap must be seen again. It can be a very, very effective move in battle & I'd love to see him using it against either Ultron or Thanos. :D

And while we're at it let's bring back the car boxing gloves. That type of stuff just doesn't get old.

Hulk broke blood vessels in his eyes he's so pissed in this trailer. Epic. Can't wait to see the fight against Stark's "Buster" go down.

You don't need to control Hulks mind. Just make him super angry and he'll do the rest.

She probably just has to make a buzzing noise by his ear. Within minutes he'd have leveled half the city.

yeah that's what loki was doing to him. being around scepter was negatively influenced him until the helicarrier came under attack.

the eyes look green both times if you ask me

they are green in both pictures. the difference is contrash to Mark's white skin vs Hulk's green skin

There's no returning from this for Hulk is there, what are they gonna say to defend him even if it is SW fault.

'Oh don't worry Hulk was just being influenced by Scarlet Witch, who incidentally is now a good guy, so all is well'

Also the way those guys fall is weird, can't really figure if they are avoiding the truck with elaborate backward rolls or they've been hit by the truck and they've somehow gone diagonal from it.

it could be trailer editing....they could have already been running away from the truck when they saw hulk coming at them

They kinda look brownish green as hulk. It'd be cool if hulks eye color indicated who was in "control"

but this fight happens early in the movie it's been said...and I think we've seen shots from the final battle with Natasha still alive (when they are in that temple like building)

Oh yes the Thunderclap absolutely must appear in AOU or Infinity Wars. Not only that, but what about the "ground pound" or even a "ground stomp".

Funny, I've never been a fan of the car boxing gloves move.:yay:

Yeah I see what you mean but I think ctsketch is right. it only looks that way because the comparison is presented to us

what was he trying to say about that? that even if hulk is being mind controlled/negatively influenced that he should be reprimanded once he is subdued/forced to submit?

Agreed. He does blink right before we get a look at his eyes in that shot. Could be that Nat's intervention is bringing Bruce back out.

And then here, his eyes are just completely red. Like damn. Either that's what happens when Bruce is completely gone (ie, Mindless Hulk), or he is indeed being manipulated by an outside force.

Didn't Mark hint that the personas of Bruce and Hulk will actually be fighting for control in this film, thus signifying Hulk's own persona will be established more as its own and not something that is still just Bruce?
