Rumor hidden within the latest and lengthy LITG

Or would it be spectacular stories, yet to be confirmed, Jim Shooter on "Legion Of Superheroes," Phillip Pullman writing for a weekly UK comic, a "Groo/Conan" special, a new weekly DC series "Countdown" "showrun" by Paul Dini or a Moore/Villarubia graphic novel about magic in French? It would be none of these. In the end, it had to be the yet unannounced news that Green Arrow and Black Canary are to wed in the DC Universe sometime in 2007. A story so big and newsworthy that it had be hidden in the depths of this column as a reward for everyone who made it this far.

I'm so tired of that relationship. It's been so damn overdone. I'll be glad if they get married, simply so that the drama will finally end. But knowing DC, Ollie will cheat AGAIN, and then...

I think it's a good news .... if and only IF they stay together. I think it would be cool to see them married but as Dinah explained in Birds of Prey, Ollie doesn't like to be tied in a situation so ....
I think it's a mistake for DC comics to make it happen now.

I don't like it. I think Black Canary and Ollie should be one of those couples that stay together forever but never get married, since IMO marriage is so against character for Ollie anyway.

Also they need to replace Red Arrow with Green Arrow in Justice League of America.

If they can do both, I'm all for this. Also, it's not entirely out of character for Ollie. He was planning on proposing to Dinah at the end of Meltzer's run, but he chickened out. He still has the ring.

good for them. i like the idea of them getting hitched. the way i see it, they've both gone through a hell of a lot these last few years, and i think it would show that ollie's finally put his man-**** days behind him. with mia and connor living with him and dinah taking in sin, he needs to start setting a better example for the next generation of heroes. as for darthphere's statement about it being against ollie's character, maybe that's the point. he's a changed man. he's finally realized that he needs to grow up and stop being such an idiot. maybe actually tying the knot will put an end to his wandering eye, since it would mean he'd be letting his whole family down. this is going to open up a ton of new story ideas for the entire arrow family. plus, it makes ollie look better in the public eye, now that he's the mayor. i've been wanting this to happen for a while. i hope it's true...

like in "The Longbow Hunters" that was basicly a Ollie, Dinah and shado story

yes. I said earlier that I like it but you are right, marriage is "so against character for Ollie" . If they stay together forever (as you put it) , then fine for me.
But hey , if they are going to put Arsenal as the next "arrow" and Ollie as babysitter, then they make him change and maybe he's ready for marriage now ...

may i remind everyone that he wanted to marry Dinah twice.. once in "The Longbow Hunters" after some "Fantastic sex" (Ollie's words) he wants to get married but dinah says no .. not really offisial, but they do talk about it.
and then again a few years ago he was a hartbeat away to do it officially with a ring and all (With a "Flash" ring he got from Barry and the diamond from the DiamondArrow)

Ollie has always been ready to get hitched.. Dinah has never been ready untill now! The only problem is that ollie as we all know issent known for beeing fateful :P

OK sorry my mistake. I don't read Green Arrow, I didn't know. I know him through Birds of Prey and he seemed not ready at all.
Well if as you say he is ready well I suppose it is a good time to marry him if they transform Arsenal into the new Arrow, as I mentionned before.
But again, even if he did ask her twice and was ready for it, I think it is a little "against the character" .
Anyway my opinion on the situation is they marry, fine but let's not change it later. They stay together but do not marry, fine.

Personally I'm not ready (in my most subjectiv point of view) to see DINAH marry someone.
I hope DC will do the best for the characters but me, I concur with Darthphere, why not keep them together forever and not married?

maybe if they actually make it legal that will cause ollie to reel it in a little. he's really in the public spotlight now that he's the mayor of star city, he's gone through a hell of a lot over the last year and now that there are more members of the arrow family he should start acting more responsibly to set a good example for the rest. that's why i see it as a better idea to have him actually make it legal with dinah, rather than just having an open-ended relationship with her. wihtout a firm committment like marriage, dinah won't have the peace of mind with him, in case he hasn't changed his ways.

in Longbow Hunters # 2 Dinah gets tortured and looses the abbility to have children, and that MIGHT be why Ollie cheated on her.
And it AFTER this he learns about Connor and Shado shoots then drugs him and little Roberts come into the picture.
I really cant remember but i think Dinah dossnt belive in that story

Ollie has slowed down alot! the poor guy hassent had sex in almost 2 years (DC time)
