RUMOR: Rocksteady works on a TMNT game

Just found out about this little rumor. It needs to happen. It could be mind blowingly awesome if done right and Rocksteady is just the studio to do it right!

You know who needs to be in this game? These guys.

ahhh the elite foot Mystics. those guys were cool . it was also when that added master Master Khan

from the movies (no wait he wasn't in the movies.) that nearly tricked Casey Jones into beating turtles during the last seasons.

This could be awesome. In fact... it's almost inescapable that it be awesome. Different fighting styles for each turtle, going through the sewers, streets and rooftops. Working out vehicle play (Turtle Van?) and multiplayer co-op with those incredible counters and multi-person combos...

I really, really hope this rumor is true. I grew up with Turtles cartoon, the movie, action figures and TMNT 2 on NES. Also Rocksteady has proven to be a great developer, and they can really handle their source material. So this game needs to happen!

I'd definitely be down to play it.

just the thought of all four turtles onscreen taking the Foot Clan down in one big freeflow combo....EPIC.

This has nothing to do with the game, I just think it's awesome.

It's awesome without the music, haha.

And if anyone wants to look up some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle awesomeness, look up Casey Jones The Movie.

Yeah, I played the Wrath of hte Titans trailer over part of it... it was epic.

I really hope this is true. I wouldn't be able to contain my excitement.

This needs to be true. Like Batman, there have been many TMNT games but none that have been that great since SNES. The games based off the 2k3 series were fun to play through once with a couple friends but overall were nothing special.

After the spectacular job they've done with the Arkham games, I have complete faith Rocksteady willl make an incredible TMNT game.

The only thing I'm worried about is co-op. Single player is great for Batman, but the Turtles need to be co-op. In one the rumor reports about this game they mention playing as each of the turtles and Splinter at different points. However the game ends up working, I really want it to be 2-4 player co-op with all four turtles on the screen.

My brother and I rented the TMNT CGI movie game back when it came and we're furious to find out when we got home that it was single player. We never thought to look into it because we just assumed any TMNT game had to be co-op. But that game ended up sucking as a 1-player game anyway.

if it ends up being co-op and it works, then i can definitely see Rocksteady incorporating possible co-op play for the third Batman game

of course, the rumor would have to be true and i really hope it is. it's too much of a cool idea to have it be false.

Please be true pleeeeeeease. I was literally looking at the old comics the other day. If this happens I hope it's dark, and I hope they each have a alternate skin with red headbands.

I like the different headbands. This is a change I didn't mind. I honestly hope they stick with that.

4 player co-op is a must have for every Turtles games. Even if it would end up being a great single player, I'll always keep thinking how much better it would be to play it with 3 co-op partners. I want to see 4 Turtles vs 50 foot Ninjas.

If the red head bands were alternate skins why would it matter?

If Rocksteady really makes this, I hope they make Shredder a total badass and also not have him spend most of his time in the Technodrome.

I want Shredder/Oroku Saki, as he was in the 2003 cartoon. Minus the fact that he was an alien controlling a robot body. Other than that, best incarnation of Shredder ever. And he needs to be so difficult, that he even kicks your ass on easy, with 3 co-op partners helping you.

I thought that, by alternate, you meant the color of the skins of each turtle. I know they have different skin colors, so that came to mind.

You know what I'd like to see? Rocksteady adding more Ninja gear to the Tutles and personalizing them more. Now, I'm not saying make them look exactly like in the image bellow, it's just the best visual representation I could find to get my point across. For example, I love those arm guards Raph wears, I think they are a really good fit and I'd love to see them on him in the game. Make them look more different than just having different colored headbands, skin tones and weapons.

If not as standard skins, I love to see something like that as unlockable extras.

Funny that I find out about this right after I get my Turtle stuff out of storage.

Anyway.. I want it to be gritty and I want it to be mature. It doesn't have to be rated M or anything but I want it to be geared towards adults. Batman AA/AC is a fine example of a "mature" game that's not full of cussing and nudity.

As for art style.. There's so many styles to chose from. I want skins for the game though and if we get preorder skins I want them grouped.. Don't give me one skin for one Turtle, I want a skin for each Turtle as a preorder bonus.

And.. We better get the classic cartoon/movies skins as well.

How much Eastman and Laird, 80's and 2003 Turtles do you guys want in this? I hope that Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang are the only things from the 80's cartoon that will make it into the game. For the rest of the game, I hope they focus on Eastman and Laird's comics and the 2k3 cartoon, where Shredder didn't get killed immediately and was a constant threat, and as Oroku Saki, a wealthy and public figure.

All my toys are still in my Mom's basement. I would have to travel a ways to get them lol. None of mine are packaged. I bought the hell out of em and was obsessed with TMNT from 88-93. I still have the "Technodrome" my brother had the Sewer set, which connected to the Technodrome. I had most of the toys, but in terms of most vehicles I had the Foot stuff, my brother had a lot of Turtle stuff. And of course I still have my SNES cartridge of TMNT: Turtles in Time.

I would love to see them do a game like this. Take a break from Batman, and wait for next gen.

Funny yesterday I was looking up trivia and history on the Turtles, and did you know that the guy that wrote the song for the cartoon is that Chuck Lorre that is the rich powerful producer to the TV shows (Two and a half Men and Big Bang Theory) both shows I hate lol, but interesting tidbit I never knew that he started as making music for the Turtles back in the day.

My favorite villain though was Krang, I had the Android, and his little mechanical walker (which he rarely used). Ahhh memories.

No fighting game, no sidescrolling, just basically a straight action/adventure. Honestly, as much as that game frustrated me as a child, the NES Konami version is a good template about how to go about getting all four turtles some screentime and combine action with exploration. They maybe don't have to get as detective as Batman, but they'd have to locate various things and what not and maybe figure out some clues.
