For me, the hairstyle of Chatwin is enough succeeds, the original hairstyle would have been ridiculous.

Personally, I think that Chatwin's hair is very reminiscent of adult Gohan's hairstyle (assuming what we've seen is what his hair will look like in the finished movie). This isn't too 'blasphemous' as this seems to be where the moviemakers seemed to have gone with Goku's character.
