Rumored "Final Crisis" to be supposedly written by Kurt Busiek

The first Final Fantasty was supposed to be Squaresoft's last game, as they were going bankrupt, but it sold amazingly and brought them back. So they kept the name.

Hey look, someone else knows that.

DC is really running this whole Multiverse thing dry.

I was crazy excited for Infinite Crisis because I got back into hardcore collecting at the Hush/Graduation Day era, which was right at the start of build up towards IC. I'm far less pumped for Final Crisis because it seems like they're just trying to ride out the wave as long as possible, but I'm still excited. I love huge crossovers.

The fact that Busiek is writing it leaves me pretty cold. I really wanted either Rucka or Morrison on it.

I have yet to read something by him that blew me away. His Superman run has been utterly boring, his JLA story was pretty bad, even Astro City wasn't anything special to me. JLA/Avengers was fun, but not amazing. I have Arrowsmith, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. His Conan, however, has been pretty damn good, that probably has come closest to wowing me, but that's hardly comparable to a massive super-hero crossover.

You should read Arrowsmith. Also, you should try to get ahold of Shockrockets and some of his Avengers work, especially Ultron Unlimited and Avengers Forever. I think Busiek's best superhero work is still his Avengers run.

I would be inclined to agree. Arrowsmith was good stuff. Shockrockets... this is the first I've heard of it.

It's kind of like a sci fi version of Arrowsmith. Amazon has much better synopses than anything I can come up with. It's also drawn by Stuart Immonen, who I think is great and probably one of the most versatile artists in comics right now.

I kinda never replied after checking it out.

But I'll probably end up checking it out as a book pretty soon. It seems pretty cool.

Geez, is this really so riled up about the name of this crossover like Yenaled said! Everyone's putting it down already. Its just a name dudes. Plus we all know that 90% of the people knocking this are going to buy it anyway.

I actually think that this new crossover will be about exploring the new multiverse in a way that won't take years to do.

Didn't a member of the Legion mention something about a crisis that hasn't happened yet in JLA or LOS?

Didio has said he's had this planned since before Identity Crisis.

I was surprised there was such backlash when this was "revealed". Because we've really sorta knew it was gonna happen for a while. From interviews I understood that they had this huge storyline planned over 3 "Crisises". So yeah, this was not news.
And don't even kid yourselves guys, you know full well you'll be buying this. you'll ***** the entire time, but you will get it.

Not much of a backlash. Same whiny motha f**ks whining about the same s**t as always.

I merely had a moment of clarity and realized Crisises are pointless, is all.
