Yeah, I like the rush hour series, funny stuff... I'm just still pissed with what he did to my xmen though... :o

Ugh, don't remind me about how he delivered the most tame and uninspired hannabal lector film ever.

Oh man, you watch Hannibal Rising.
That's the worst Lecter film, by far. If anybody on the face of the planet disagrees with that, they officially have no taste in movies.

Why are people still laying the blame for X3 solely on Ratner?!? So much of that film had already been prepped, only a director of Spielberg caliber was gonna be able to turn it around from how most fans already feared it would turn out. All of that story elements that fans hated were already in place, the budget and all the effects stuff, and shooting schedule were already nailed down. He had no chance for any real input.

Correctomundo.
I've been defending Ratner on this reason ever since X3 came out, let alone defending him on the a page back.

I don't understand why people don't want a fourth Rush Hour. Some people actually might enjoy a fourth Rush Hour. I would, because it is Jackie Chan. Why not let them make it, and give it a chance. It isn't your money they are using. If you don't want to watch then don't. I can't stand when someone watches a movie, and then whines how it ruined the entire frnchise. Guess what, you chose to go see it. So if you can't handel what it might change then don't go see it.

Personally I think the plots are kind of wearing thin, but like LETHAL WEAPON I expect them to keep them going until they feel they have nothing else left.

I saw a small clip of Lee and Carter fighting that tall guy, I thought it was kind of funny.

Chris Tucker will be on Conan tonight.

Man, if that really was her, it'd be one hell of a spoiler.

I have no intentions of seeing this movie. A terrible, self-obsessed director who took a hand in ruining a good comic book movie franchise who has no artistic vision and the fact that they're paying a highly overrated "comedian" 25 million to act like a jackass are but a few reasons I will boycott this movie with my wallet. Plus the gimmick is waaaaay old and tired.

This one really looks like crap. As far as making them until they have nothing left, they are already doing that.

They will continue making these movies until they stop making money.

Another whining fanboy who hates Brett Ratner because he ruined X3...

Read KenK's post below.

I doubt a few people that don't plan on seeing it is going to matter. The masses love this franchise.

None of that takes away from Ratner's snobby attitude toward the movie and that he was going to do all the things with it that Singer never did.

No, I don't blame Ratner for being a commercial hack that isn't going to fight for the creative integrity of a movie or story.

This will be the last one.
Not only did Chris Tucker have to be convinced to do another one, but over 95% of franchises do not go past the third installment. Indiana Jones 4, Live Free or Die Hard, (etc.) are completely different cases, as they are fourth installments to old/finished franchises made for extra coin (with the former pretty much guaranteed to be a good film, and the latter actually being a good film).

What was wrong with having the attitude to do something with a franchise that wasn't done before? It's been done countless times. This isn't the first time that a director took on a pre-existing franchises tried to make their film different from the predecessors.

Well damn, he's not Spielberg or Scorcese. :csad:

The Chan rocks what can I say :( I just watched Operation Condour sure the cinematography and editing are ameturish at best, and the story feels like it came out of a golden age comic, but the chan kicks so much ass :cmad:

What convinced Chris Tucker was millions of dollars, not that they were going to make a good movie.

Money Talks (pun intended) for Chris Tucker. If they pay him what he asks, he'll do it.

So true... However I think it's ridiculous the snobish attitude reguarding this movie... People like to have a good time, the rush hour movies have provided that... I don't get what everyone has against the franchise.

As do most actors.
But on the plus side, they seriously aren't going to make a fourth one.
Studios ALWAYS talk about making a fourth one, but how many franchises have we seen go past 3 films (excluding Potter and Bond)?

Barely...

Case in point, you won't have to worry about another one.

If they aren't going to make a fourth one, it's probabily because they aren't going to make any money back on this one since it's almost all going to the stars.

If this one is a hit (it'll make it's money, but the real question is how much), I would bet you that a fourth one still won't be made. Seriously, most franchises DON'T HAVE FOURTH INSTALLMENTS. Three is the golden number to just almost every franchise.

Your failing to realize VileOne point... It has to do with money... By the time you get to the fourth the price tag for the actors, director, writers, crew, etc has reach astronomical proportions however if it looks like it'll make a profit, a studio will do it in a heartbeat....

For the Rush Hour franchise, I just can't see a fourth installment happening.
