Just read on the Superman boards that the FF2 is again on a rushed production. Does anyone one know the time frame, or has shooting already started?

shooting has already started. It started i think 2-3 day ago!!!!

The shooting will continue till january. F4-2 has a 5 month shooting compared to the first F4 movie's 3 month shooting.

Don't worry man F4-2 is in a better position than F4.

I mean common WETA, new costume designers, new prouction designers, fantstic car, better thing costume, mr. fanastic will be a leader. Everything about the movie sounds great so far

CANNOT WAIT FOR THE TEASER TRAILER!!!!!!!!!

August 28 to January 31 I believe is the length of the shoot. Then post production all the way up to the release date like all films.

For this type of movie it is cutting things fine if you compare it with the production time on BB and SM3 however Die Hard 4 doesn't start shooting until after sooooooooo who knows

Well they will have 5 monthes to finish all the cgi and editing. Not the best but not real bad either.

I know people here are trying to be positive about everything but the schedule sucks as usual with Fox.

Lets remember 1 thing. Some of the spx we're created with the 1st film, plus they have had 2 years to work on them. That will make a difference, and as the Capri Sun commerceal shows, liquid silver effects are allready here. So Surfer spx will not have to be developed. If they go that way. I have good fellings about this movie. Only concern I have is editing. How much if any will be left on the floor.

Let's just hope Fox let's their grip slip a bit and let the film be as long as needed. I mean, with X-Men the runtime was short but with X2 it was as long as needed, so I'm hoping the same happens this time around with FF2.

Seriously doubt we are getting a film over 2 hours.

Most likely, but there is always hope...lol.

About an hour and 40 minutes would allow for maximum audience turnover and permit adequate time to build to what I hope is a cliffhanger.

An hour and 40 minutes would still be significantly longer than FF1.

Yea, Im not sure a 2 hour movie is what we want, because this film needs ACTION... and lots of it to be successful. I know alot of people are saying this film will flop if the teaser/trailer looks anything like the first.

But that movie is going to have far more pratical effects than visual effects. FF2 has 7 or 8 characters that require lots of CG work and that takes time to make that look good especially when you want to break new ground with SS.

I honestly believe they should consider moving the release to November/December.Spider-Man 3 wrapped about two months ago and they've got lots of time to finish effects, FF2 has barely started filming.

But Fox wants that summer money. :yellow: Fox is too afraid to risk jack****.

Sorry but to me the majority of awesome comic book films are 2 hours or longer because they give enough time to develop and expand. I have been burned by Fox one too many times sorry.

Sometimes though practical effects and live action stunt work can be more time consuming,i do agree though it would be better to move the release to Christmas 2007 and give the film some time

Actually, that's not entirely true.

The first Fantastic Four film began shooting in August of 2004 and wrapped up in December of that year. They later returned to Vancouver for reshoots in early 2005. The point is, the first project certainly took longer than 3 months to film.

So while this film has a slightly longer leadtime for filming, it's just that--slightly. In perspective, both projects will take just over 5 months to shoot.

^^ Yeah compared to Spiderman and other films this seems a little rushed.

However Tim Story has it seems really taken this thing by the horns.

More than ever this production is on his shoulders now.

He fought with Avi to get this story, he wanted SS and Galactus. He says this will be the defining film, well I hope he knows people are getting the knives and forks out cause if the film does not deliver someone is going to be a turkey and they are going to be eaten alive.

This it appears has become his baby, his life so to speak. He has a blog on Myspace and has been making an effort to talk to the internet fans to get a feel for what they want while balancing it with the demands of the studio.

He was honest enough to show us the fights that go on at Fox.

Fox does not tolerate multi million dollar scenes on the cutting floor (unless of course the movie is more than an hour long lol)

This one is squarely on Story's shoulders. No excuses, he has had his feet wetted now its deliverance time.

He better fight for at least a 2 hour film. And he better bring us some epic action storytelling and heart.

If he makes it happen then nough respect to you man. I will even say take a year off and bring FF3 in by 2010. One year after the SR sequel.

I timed it with a stop watch, and excluding credits, and trailers, it was exactualy 1 hour 38 minutes long. 98 minutes. 98 minutes will not be enough time to do all that needs to be seen. There will be too much to put in this movie that less then 2 hours will allow. If they cut it we will get another herky, jerky, out of sinc sequel. Dame you Fox, leave it the hell alone. POTC should tell you that a good entertaining 2 and a half hour movie can make a ton of money. I saw POTC 2 and had a blast, and the 2 and a half hours flew by. I think they will get it right this time, and dame it the fans need to see that. Give the fans what they deserve just once. I want 1 FF movie that will blow me out of the water, with all I want to see.

The production does seem rather rushed. They've just begun filming for a June release. Spider-Man 3 began filming ages ago, and it comes out in May. I really hope that Fox and Story and doing the bare minimum here, especially after the BO success of X3 (which, in Fox's moronic eyes, proves that short, quickly made films CAN do well).

X3 doesn't matter. FF's success was enough for them to follow the same formula again.

Your comment certainly sounds promising, but sounding and actually becoming is two different things.
