Anyone think the FF2 will be better Spiderman 3?

No. FF2 is a PG movie. PG!! What the heck?

Definitely not. FF2 will not be better than Spider-Man 3 if only for the fact that Spider-Man 3's fight sequences were more intense. And I don't think Spidey 3 was nearly as bad as people say it was.

(PG...just not right...)

PG-13 in the states.

There is to much hate towards the PG rating.

The director already said it never forced them to cut back on anything.

Live with it people.

PG is perfectly fine. :whatever:
They weren't even going for a PG. That's just what they were given.

The ultra-brutal fight with the Goblin at the end of Spidey 1 hurts that film in my opinion. There was no reason it had to be so excessive.

Besides, from what I've been told, FF2 feels more like a PG-13 anyway.
Who can fathom the minds of the MPAA board?
They've given NC-17 ratings to films that wouldn't qualify as hard R, usually over 2 seconds of male nudity.
The board is inconsistent, that's for sure.

In Spider-Man, are you trying to say the final fight HURT the film? That's crazy. That final fight was the best part of the film. Never had there been so brutal a fight in a comic book movie that I can remember. If only they could carry that intensity over to the Batman vs Joker fight in TDK, that would be awesome.

But, back to FF, PG-13 should be standard by now. PG just throws people off. "PG? What is this...a kid's movie?" People naturally associate comic book movies with a PG-13 rating.

This is all your opinion.....lol............................people can disagree.....

And has been stated, and will probably be stated in a review coming up......the sequel to FF is as much a PG 13 as the last was a PG 13.....you might want to look PAST the rating, and watch the actual movie....before setting your opinion in stone....

That's your opinion.
In my opinion, the bloody intensity made it inappropriate for children under 7. And that -in my opinion- is crazy.
Spidey's creators would never have wanted that kind of brutality in the film. Not that that should mean anything to all the violence-mongers out there who don't understand what Spidey was meant to be in the first place.

I'm only talking about 5-10 seconds of the scene anyway.
Not saying there shouldn't have been an intense fight. :whatever:
Then again, maybe they should have cried at each other in the climax like Spidey and Sandman. :oldrazz:

Since when?

The rating isn't going to affect this film negatively in any substantive way.
I don't doubt there really are morons out there prejudging a film like this because it doesn't have the "13" after the rating, but I think there will be far more (especially parents) who will look at that PG rating and say "Hey, we can all go see that!"

This weekend's box office will certainly tell the tale.

Why don't they rate it just as PG-13 as the last one?

Rated: PG-13 on appeal. :cwink:

I don't know about that but just wait until FF3 is better than SM5....man those will be good times!

Seriously, just wait until it ocmes out to start the fanboy flame wars. Please.

P.S. The Spidey/GG fight at the end of SM1 is the most intense superhero/villain fight in a superhero movies besides perhaps the clock tower/train fight in SM2. Those are the ones to be measured to.

Yeah, if they remove all of the Fantastic Four scenes, and edit all the Silver Surfer scenes together, lol.

As you can see, me loves my Surfer. :D

Spidey was not that good... But NO WAY it will be in that level of awful bad. FF4 was terrible, and I belive the sequel will be better, but dont expect miracles. The studio went for a sequel as a result of that particular film: strong weekend, bad word of mouth and no legs at all. It will be just like that.

I LOVE the Spider-Man/GG fight at the end of SM1. It's just dirty, no flashy stuff. Now if they can do something like THAT for TDK, that'd be great.

As for F4. Jessica Alba looks less real than the Silver Surfer.

Some people will want this film to be bad and they'll show it just because the other film was bad to them even if they didn't see this one. They don't give these kinds of movies a chance. It has good legs to me because opening weekend, this movie has no competition, they only will have to compete with Evan Almighty next week which isn't too much competition, and I'm sure it can hold on for a few weeks to get up to 220+ domestically. World wide will be phenomenal!

Haha...
Have you not seen V for Vendetta, or even the beatdown scenes in Blade and Blade II? How about the final fight in Blade II?

The battle royale in SM3 was amazing indeed, if you are a kid. :oldrazz:

Did you go see Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, they were all PG and didn't seem just a kid's movie.

Blade I fight was really cool too, didn't care for Blade II/VforV's. ;)
