Get over yourselves everyone.... and a note to 7000... try not to center your posts and make it look all poetic and sh:t just to stand out. You want to hate SM1 and SM2 then be my guest... but there are other threads for that... I understand people want to argue in threads they don't agree with just for the sake of arguing but the hate doesn't really belong here... and the FACT is... 90% of the people on these boards disagree with you on the first two films... don't downplay that and put you opinions higher than everyone else.

I'm not doing that at all. Just because the majority like sm1 and 2, does that automatically make my opinion less valid? I don't think it does. Read my posts, I havn't tried to make my opinion worth more than any others. I have stated my opinion and provided facts as to one of the many reasons why all 3 movies are not perfect as spideyhero12 blindly claims them to be. If people take offence to that, then that's a problem they have to deal with. I'm secure with my opinions and can accept, respect and appreciate that not everone shares mine.

Anyone else see For the Love of the Game? That was a great sports movie. I was surprised to learn Raimi directed it after I saw it. It wasn't his usual style of film.

Lemme go back and repeat your first post in this thread "Sam needs to go, pronto".... thats not really showing much appreciation... instead... you just wanted to pick a fight because you frankly had nothing better to do at the time and you know it. You just wanted to get your opinions about SM1/2 in a thread where they didn't belong... so do us all a favor and get the booty moving out of this thread before I have to smack it out myself.

Fairly old, now. Like late 90's. It had Kevin Costner as an old pitcher on the verge of retirement, and he was thinking about his prior relationship to this woman while pitching a possible perfect game. Great movie.

I'm pretty mixed about mr Raimi doing SP4 because on one side, I enjoy the way he puts Spidey in the big screen, they are entertaining, they have great stories...and for that I think he should keep doing them. But on the other side, I think it could be interesting to see another director's point of view of Spidey's world.

I never saw that Film. Only Sam Raimi Films I have seen besides the Spidey Films are Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, Army Of Darkness.

Yep. I loved the movie. Costner does a great job as Billy Chapel.

I want Lizard & Scorpion in S-M4 or Lizard & Kraven or Lizard & Vulture.
IMO, the only way Kraven will only be cool/work is if he hunts Lizard too.

Sam used His trademark style in the Evil Dead Films. I love how He has the camera zoom into the faces, etc. He truly has a great style.

So what is Sam Raimi up to next post Spiderman?

From what I am hearing, Columbia is making him an offer to direct Ken Nolan's THE GRAYS. That is not all, he is also being offered the directing chores of Dreamwork's NO MAN'S LAND.

Two solid sci-fi scripts. Which one will he accept? He may take one or he may turn down both flat.

What is THE GRAYS?

I remember when Nolan received a cool $3 mil for the 75 page treatment of Whitley Strieber's sci-fi novel THE GRAYS.

Story concerns an alien race who essentially function as the "United States of the cosmos" -- running things on Earth as well as on other worlds. Operating in secrecy, the aliens are unwilling to reveal themselves for fear of altering mankind's development.

What is NO MAN'S LAND?

Producer Walter F. Parkes told SCI FI Wire that he and partner Laurie MacDonald are in preproduction on a new SF thriller film titled No Man's Land. Parkes (The Island) described the film as War of the Worlds meets Chinatown. "It's really good, ... because it's kind of a melding of science fiction and noir cop fiction. Just yesterday, [makeup guru] Rick Baker just started working on designs for the aliens." Baker just worked with Parkes and MacDonald on the upcoming horror sequel film The Ring Two.

Les Bohem, who wrote and executive produced SCI FI Channel's original miniseries Steven Spielberg Presents Taken, wrote the script for No Man's Land.

"It takes place in New York City eight years after ... the alien invasion that we lost," Parkes said in an interview. "And it imagines New York City kind of like Paris during the Vichy government [under Nazi occupation during World War II], where we've all sort of just given up. And there's this race of aliens living there that get all the good tables, and the shops are kind of collaborating. And there's an incipient underground movement to take the Earth back."

Parkes added: "The main character is a cop who lost his wife when the aliens destroyed London, and so he's given up trying. Just trying to keep his [eye] on his eight square blocks of Manhattan, his beat. And there's a murder there, and it seems to be the murder of a human by a 'blue' [an alien]. And he doesn't believe [it]. He thinks there's something fishy, and in finding the truth of that murder, [he] inadvertently reignites the rebellion, which will eventually
take the Earth back."

I hope not.....I wouldn't mind a new director ,but I just don't want some.....Ghost Rider or Fantastic Four.....I want Spider-man and Sam KNOWS Spider-man, so if they get a new director I'll be worried....

If and when SM4 is made by another director and cast and it turns out like FF/FF2 or X3 (this an "if") every fanboy will be saying "Remember how great Raimi was and how we all loved his movies...."

NOt saying that they'll be more right then. Just saying this is a fickle-ass bunch.
