Okay, I need to point this out. I'm greatly dissapointed in Nolans take on the Joker. I think it's lame. But I'm not going to throw out the baby with the bathwater like some of these other guys ranting about Nolan sucking. Thats just stupid. I'm not happy with it, but I'm willing to see where he is going with it.

He was speaking in hyperbole. His childhood isn't seriously dead because of that image. That you actually thought he was serious is a bit ridiculous.

You know, I like abstract art. It's an interesting form of art, based on expression rather than form. Now does this mean I like all abstract art? Certainly no. Just because it has the same colors as another piece doesn't solidify it in my heart. Heck, it might even invoke detest. I guess composition must be the deciding factor, what the artist put into it.

I'm keeping an open mind and not burying the project just becuase I'd rather see Sandy Collora's or Aaron Shoenke's Joker on the big screen. I was hearing horror stories of the joker just being an albino serial killer ("Da Vinci Code" style), and relieved to see we're getting something that actually resembles the comic book counter part.

You guys have to realize that Nolan isnt just making a film for the fans, but for the general audience. BTAS joker is okay for the cartoon series, but not for the "real-world" setting that Nolan had already set in "Begins" (yes yes, "how real can you get with a comic book film!" but Nolan is trying and I prefer his style over anybody elses).

This reminds me of the big debacle that Batman wasnt going to wear spandex and undies outside his costume when "Begins" was being made...it'll be okay fellas, go watch "Begins" again then look at the joker pictures.

Come to think of it, Ledger's Joker looks more like Romero's than any other rendition that comes to mind at the moment. That certainly doesn't help Nolan's case.
