The Dark Knight The many faces of the Joker. Which is the "real" one?

You'd think his six fingers would've been a clue.

You sure your eyes not fooling you on that? Might been squinting your eyes too hard there. :oldrazz:

And I once thought it was real too. The hand holding the colors thing & the body are actually Orlando Bloom in his Legolas makeup. Must be some kind of backstage pic. And the head was Heath from some movie premire or something. I saw where the 2 pics came from on a Friday the 13th board talking about The Dark Knight around May or so of this year.

ya rxtreme those are what we refer to around here as the "leaked" pictures. We aren't allowed to post them. Most of the people here have all 18 of the pictures. Nice try though

Honestly, the Joker's socks take the cake. It's such a small detail, but they're just so hilariously bizarre - fits him perfectly. Not sure whose idea it was for him to wear wacky socks like that, but kudos. I hope he wears them throughout the whole film.

If they aren't taken down by now, you can see in the left pic (where Joker is kicking Bats) that his hair is barely green. In fact, it looks like he's only dyed the very tips of his locks, which fade into brown. The other "knife" pics (with Rachel) confirm this. Yet we have the IMAX pic w/ Nolan, in which even through that weird glass, his hair is much greener (and green pretty much all over), and in the newest one, his hair is almost totally green-looking. I realize the newest pic has a green tint to it, which would manipulate things, but his hair isn't brownish at all - it's obviously green, and greener than in the leaked pics.

Strange. Either his hair is dyed shock green at some point and continues to fade throughout the film (i.e. he only dyes it once over the course), or something else entirely (are his methods supernatural? j/k)

In any case, even though there's no evidence at all for it as this point, I like the idea of the Joker basically having several layers of makeup on. It's weird, bizarre, and totally Joker-ish, in my opinion. For example, what if his hair was really green - then he dyes it brown, and then using some kind of cheap staining material (like food coloring), he dyes it green on top of that. His hair would continually "run" throughout the film - from green to brown back to green again - mystifying our heroes and the audience alike. People would wonder how the hell he has this trippy, two-toned hair that changes from day to day, not realizing until the end that's it all a ruse.

I still would like to stick to the theory of an evolving Joker as it were, where he starts out wearing makeup but eventually he learns that due to the accident that made him the Joker, the green hair and permawhite skin are becoming a more long lasting, irreversible thing along with his slipping grasp of reality. I'm hoping the image of Joker in the car is the end result of this evolution.

Wait a second, is that Cilian Murphy next to one of the fake Batmen? Never noticed that before. Plus, I maintain the the bleaching happens in film 3 when The Joker is in prison.

I don't get why some people here (pro- or anti-Nolan) say that the new Joker won't have humor. From the banned pic above and from the viral sites, it is pretty clear that he does have a twisted humor (and the above pic also shows me he's buffooning at the moment. I can guess that the sequence this pic represents could be like a Buster Keaton gag).

Hey, I never said TDK's Joker wasn't going to have humor. I'm all for a twisted sense of humor. I just don't think people should be expecting a Jack Nicholson Joker level of humor though.

I'm actually against him conveniently falling into chemicals mid-movie. He either starts the movie perma-white, or not at all. Don't make him dress up as a clown, THEN fall into a vat of chemicals. That's just stupid and too coincedental. He's either perma-white under all that make up, or not at all.

Hmmm, the pics are still here and Rxtreme has not been banned or even put on probation.

Are these pics ok to post now?

No.

....didn't Hunter say that like 3 pages back? Or in another thread like 2 days ago?

It's absurd that those pictures still carry a taboo here. There well enough known now to feature on a series of special edition postage stamps.

I'd so collect them, and then get another sheet and use them exclusively to send my mail.

And bomb threats to the bill companies. But that's another issue. :joker:

I know. Are they afraid of what Warner Bros. is going to do? They're all over everywhere else, and the WB doesn't seem to care.

I love seeing the Joker full on and in action. He looks amazing, and I'm more excited than ever about this movie....sorry if you get banned for posting them Rxtreme, but thanks just the same.

i really want to see Jokers actions, look and voice. all playing togerther. I still don't see it working.

I wasn't talking to you in particular. I don't expect a Nicholson-Joker level of humor, either. I just mentioned this, because I've seen many people say that he won't be funny (and they either say that as positive or negative).

I concur. That why I wish people stop saying Ledger got big shoes to replace Nicholson, 'cause he isn't taking over his Joker. Ledger's Joker is his own & something new, so he won't copy him. His will be more dark & sinister. And less campy too, so no need for that stupid Nicholson comparsion. :whatever:

Comparisons are inevitable with the same role, no matter how differently they are written. Just look at the comparisons to the various Bond actors.
