Plot Summary:

Holiday magic mixes with comical chaos at the North Pole in "Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause". Tim Allen reprises his role of Scott Calvin - AKA Santa - as he juggles a full house of family and the mischievous Jack Frost (Martin Short), who is trying to take over the "big guy's" holiday.

At the risk of giving away the secret location of the North Pole, Scott invites his in-laws (Ann-Margret & Alan Arkin) to share in the holiday festivities, and upcoming birth of baby Claus with expectant wife, Carol, - AKA Mrs. Claus (Elizabeth Mitchell).

Along for the adventure are Scott's extended family, son Charlie (Eric Lloyd), ex-wife Laura Miller (Wendy Crewson), her husband, Neil Miller (Judge Reinhold) and their daughter, Lucy (Liliana Mumy) who, together with head elf Curtis (Spencer Breslin), foil Jack Frost's crafty scheme to control the North Pole.

Trailer (quicktime)

I saw the first 'Santa Clause' film when I was 6 years old. And ever since it has been a favorite of mine. Now I'm 18 and hyped to see SC3, having grown up with the first film.

The first sequel, was good but not great- it just seemed like a spin-off type film. What I mean by that is that it didn't exactly follow up the first film.

But, with the direction of the third film. I really can't wait. The alternate reality of what could have happened if Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) never became Santa Claus. Being a fan of the first film, that's really going to be an interesting thing to see. Kind of 'Back to the Future' 2ish- in a way. And also has a certain Capra ring to it.

And Martin Short and Tim Allen on film together again?! That's really going to be great. Another favorite Tim Allen film of mine is Jungle2Jungle (interesting note- the kid in that film actually grew up to be Jimmy Olsen in Superman Returns! (Sam Huntington)).

So, a great comedic team up. Interesting and unique premise. And a film that promises to be, what in my mind, the sequel should have been. Definitely excited.

Did not even know there was a 2. did the sequal have TA?

I see well I liked the first one in my youth so Il prob go check this one out.
TA is ok in small doses.

I never saw #2. But this one looks interesting, Martin Short rules.

I didn't like the second one. my immediate thuoght is that the third probably won't be good either, but it does have Martin Short, so maybe.

Looks like ****.

But I guess trilogies are all the rage now

this film marks the instigation of hell freezing over....

and the death of kittens...

Oh no not another one lol.
This looks stupid.

I hated the first one. The mere thought that they've got enough people backing the idea of a third one, is making baby jesus cry :(

I know only one person who will buy that and that is my mum lol she thinks these films are great lol.
