saw it twice, enjoyed it both times, will probably see it again this weekend... and i look forward to singer's sequel... so there! hurray for me. ha.

I am a pretty big superman fan. I really wasn't impressed with the movie and although i didn't think it was horrible, I wouldn't go out of my way to reccommend it to anyone. However, i think the general public doesn't have to same view. It is at 83% for user reviews on RT, it has a 7.4 rating on IMDB with 22,000 votes and it hovering at a low B+ rating on Box office mojo (not to mention the fairly good "expert" reviews). I agree that the box office numbers have been dissapointing, but there are other factors at work. I would think that if the movie was as bad as you paint it to be then all those rating wouldn't be so favorable.

And you would think if it is as good as you paint it it wouldn't be floundering the way it is. It made $647 dollars per screen yesterday. That's not a lot of bank. General word of mouth is it's bad and this turd is dying at the BO because of it. And what would these mysterious factors consist of? POTC2 kicking its ass? It's a better movie so yeah, if that's your point then I agree. If you're going to pull something out of your ass to make excuses for it then I'm not buyin it.

amazing.. everyone i know who saw it enjoyed it. Then i come on this board and you all hate it. Where is this 'supposed' bad word of mouth coming from? This movie will have the legs needed to make profit for WB.

I am not really sure what your agenda is, but I didn't paint a good picture at all. As i said I didn't really like the movie and was expecting much more. I thought the pacing was off and I thought the moving lacked the sparkle (for lack of a better word) that the succesful superhero movies have had. I haven't seen POTC2 yet, so i can't comment on the quality of that movie. I am looking forward to seeing it though. I was just suprised that the reviews form the users have been largely positive (this board is a small percentage of the people that vote on the other sites). If everyone hates it then why are the reviews for the most part positive. It is isn't even at 5-6/10...it is more at 7-8/10 ratings. I would think that a movie that is so hated would be less then 5. I wwas just stating my suprise. Superman can be liked or disliked regardless of how great POTC2 is. Oh and there is no reason to be insulting to get your point across..i was making conversation.

I saw it TWICE and see how fantastic it was. Superman Returns ROCKS! GOOOOOOOOOO BRANDON ROUTH!
