Superman Returns SAVE the sequels of SR, show your support

Example of how well online petitioning works

Save Arrested Development: 64,015 signatures

Save Serenity 2/Firefly Season 2 Petition: 12,898 signatures
http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?firefly1

Make Han shoot first again petition Countless thousands of signatures
http://www.originaltrilogy.com/ (The petition is no longer around, but it was huge)

These things just don't work. If you want real results, get active, like those Roswell nuts who mailed bottles of hot sauce to WB in protest.

Hey has Matches eaten the comic yet?

Still not. Actually... I haven't seen him around here as of lately...:D

How does anyone with half a brain even make that bet? Its been obvious for quite some time Jason is Superman's.

Because he made it at the very beginning of shooting, when Enigma2k said the kid was Superman's son and nobody believed him.

Hehe, Enigma was right about everything...right down to Jason pointing out Superman from the plane. I always loved the hypocrisy that Enigma would post something and everyone would call him a liar. But when Batgirl posted the same thing in a more positive light everyone would sing her praises.

I am a pretty big superman fan. I really wasn't impressed with the movie and although i didn't think it was horrible, I wouldn't go out of my way to reccommend it to anyone. However, i think the general public doesn't have to same view. It is at 83% for user reviews on RT, it has a 7.4 rating on IMDB with 22,000 votes and it hovering at a low B+ rating on Box office mojo (not to mention the fairly good "expert" reviews). I agree that the box office numbers have been dissapointing, but there are other factors at work. I would think that if the movie was as bad as you paint it to be then all those rating wouldn't be so favorable.

Catch22 here since it does have favorable reviews why is it not doing well at the BO then????
I am so tired of the it is getting great reviews defense for the movie its ridicilous at this point if its soo fracking well liked why is it doing sooo poorly at the BO????
Simple because its not as well liked as those reviews spin it or the BO numbers would show better.
Its almost like a foreign film that gets great reviews but no one is watching it at the BO.

Actually that one did work. We're getting the original untouched trilogy on DVD in a few months where it shows Han shooting first.

Yes... like going to see the movie as many times as you can.

Unless you know a theater that charges 10 million dollars for tickets and have a large lumpsum of money that you're willing to waste, then re-watching SR will accomplish nothing but wasting your $$$. SR was a turkey at the BO, and a few more "votes" of ticket money from obsessed geeks aren't going to change that.

All the haters work for Marvel/Fox/Sony or Disney and/or all the haters are under the age of 25 (at least mentally or emotionally) and/or all the haters hate Superman and/or all the haters are sick or obsessive (just check out their avatars and posts)

That pretty much sums up my feelings in regards to you miserable people. Next summer, Spider-Man will be dead, Pirates will be dead. What franchise you gonna pimp then? Ghost Rider? Zoom? Wolverine? Snakes on a Plane? I feel sorry for you all

I happen to support MARVEL AND DC comics/films
I happen to like films from ALL the above studios
I happen to want to see Superhero films continue
I loved Superman Returns and Batman Begins
I think, with the exception of IRON MAN, Marvel has shot it's creative wad and DC is going to own the next decade, after which, Marvel might have something to offer again. All you Marvel obsessives, Spidey obsessives, will have to own up to that next year. What we are seeing on this board are the death throws and temper tantrums of fanboys whose franchises are dying. It all started this summer with their dissapointment with X3. They are taking their hate out on Singer for leaving their precious X-Men behind in favor of a superhero that he truly admired. Marvel films are going the way of DC's older Batman and Superman films - impoding in on themselves. DC will own this decade - the proof is SR and Batman Begins. In the future, all negative posts you see about either SR or BB can be attributed to this fact.

Wow. Simply wow. I'd hold your hand, but I'm afraid what this heat will do to my delicate skin. The haters deserve this kind of treatment simply because they have a differing opinion, right?

Go on, by all means, bash away.

Singer did exactly what I didnt want him to do with Superman Returns, why should I support him and pay my hard earned money again to see a film that kicks me in the balls? I hope Superman doesnt make its money back domestic because if it does Singer will just Screw it up again. I dont need another 2 years of anticipation only to be let down and given a Requel Piece of Crap.

SUPERMAN RETURNS Pt. II
THE RETURN OF ZOD
COMING SUMMER OF 2008
YOU WILL KNEEL...Again.

M.E.H.Z.E.B,

Your icon says it all - black Venom overcoming Superman's logo. You can like SR and be excited about Spider-Man 3. Your avatar just pits them against each other. Therefore your opinion is invalidated.:supes:
