Has James Wan been involved at all in the sequels? Producing or anything?
That would be nice, but the editor of the Saw films is doing six. I wish James Wan would have had a hit after Saw but no luck. Maybe whenever he gets directing again he'll find his mojo.I do believe that they should bring SAW VI full circle and possibly have James Wan direct it. Don't get me wrong I love how David Hackl directed this film. It was very clear and he definitely knows how to direct.
But it would be nice to have James Wan return to SAW one more time, have Leigh Whannell(spelling?) write it again. But Leigh is still the executive producer, however, I was just thinking about it the other night after watching SAW V for the third time.

A deal was made before the start of Saw 5, and if Hackl wanted his movie (SaW 5) to be edited by Kevin Greutert, then he would step down in the sixth film as director. That is what he decided to do.Yeah, I heard about the editor of the SAW films directing the sixth one. I've never heard of an editor of films to actually direct the movie, you know? It made sense with Hackl since he was the second unit director. Hackl did a great job and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more from him in the future.
They never mentioned that he could of been married before Jill..I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Jiggs has a sonThey never mentioned that he could of been married before Jill..
I just want them to end the series on a good note. I don't want the ending to be obvious or whoever is pulling Hoffmans string to be too obvious, but yet it has to make sence..
@Immortalfire- The sixth will be the last one and people will finally stop whining about how they're too many of them. Directors, producers, and crew members have all said that the sixth will be the final one.

Hmm...at least til the money gets green enough.![]()

Agreed. Stories are getting too thin, theres only soo much traps, and story lines that can be used. Just making a new jiggs,ur still gonna get the same old repeat scenerio's.Won't happen. I believe they know these stories are running thin and they can't continue it like a Jason, Freddy, Michael, or Pinhead. The only way I can see them continuing these is if they're direct to tv or direct to dvds.
...Okay, honestly... Is this crap still worth talking about?... Honestly. You think they're actually going to take it among themselves to try and make a "movie" out of this?
I don't think Gordon got out. If I remember correctly Zepp came down a ladder to get to the room they were being held in. Gordon lost alot of blood so I doubt he had the strength to climb up with only one foot. He failed to cut off his foot and kill Adam before time was up, I doubt he would have gotten any assistance from Jigsaw even if he had won. Jigsaw probably disposed of the body in an incinerator or something.
The problem with that is, this series explains everyone's whereabouts. We know the final fate of pretty much every character, Gordon has been purposefully left ambiguous. It's all fine and dandy if Jigsaw just disposed of his body, but this is not a series that wouldn't say/show that fact. Until they do address it you can't really say if Gordon is alive or not.
I just saw Saw V. pretty damn good. But perhaps with VI we could have Jill trying to blackmail Hoffman?
I don't know if I like Jill doing anything to Hoffman. If they go this route then maybe it can be one of those deals where Jill had an affair with Hoffman or something. But I don't think she should be the one to test him at all.
Oh I wouldn't want her to be the new Jigsaw at all, but I mean someone (who wasn't Strahm) knows that Hoffman is Jigsaw. Remember Hoffman got the note in his office, which was never explained. Someone else knows, and my best guess is that it's Jill. Also, although I like you're theory of the burnt down house mentioned in Saw V being the same house in Saw II, it just doesn't seem to make sense. Remember that they had a memorial for Tapp, so it's possible that they recovered his body.
Then they could've said that his body was recovered. But one thing that bothers me is when Erickson said they recovered over a dozen dead bodies in the factory.
You had Jigsaw, Amanda, Jeff, Lynn, Timothy, Danica, Rigg, Matthews, Art, and the judge. That's ten dead bodies in the factory. Who were the other three or four? Erickson said over a dozen dead bodies were found in that building.
To anyone who feels this thread to be pre-mature, I believe MTV (or VH1, it honestly doesn't matter) is currently running a Reality Series called "Scream Queens" in which the winner will recieve a role in 'Saw 6.'
An eye-rolling way of announcing the green-lighting of a film perhaps, but there you go...
