You knew who I meant. Stop being a smart alleckNever heard of Mytsylpikt there is a superman villian named Mxyzptlk.
I've been reading the books since, I don't know, 2001? And I'm good. Maybe it's just you?

Since 52's guy wasn't named Egg-Fu...no. I don't think anyone asked that. He may have been a reimagining of the old Silver Age Egg-Fu, but he wasn't Egg-Fu.so you're saying while reading 52 you didnt once go "who the f**k is Egg-Fu? and why should I care?"

Some of the guards at that mad scientist island gave him the name as a way to mock him iirc. In fact I think he killed an underling for laughing at it.
Donna Troy? She's been quite simplified for me. Hawkman and Supergirl? Now THAT is a cluster****.Well there's hardly ever going to be a comic book at Marvel or DC that doesn't include at least one character that you've never heard of or don't know much about. I doubt that anyone here had the good fortune of reading an issue one of a brand spanking new universe with all-new characters as their first foray into comics; we all had to be introduced into these universes somehow, which means coming into a show already in progress with characters and stories already established. Accessibility varies according to book and writer, but it's really not that big a deal; certainly not anything you'd need a reboot to fix. And especially with the resources we have on our hands nowadays, there's really no excuse anymore for anyone to be that confused about anything outside of the usual clusterfcks (Donna Troy, Jean Grey, etc).
how is Supergirl easy to understand? Isnt power girl supergirl from another earth? and what happened to the super girl with the non-kryptonian powers? it's a cluster f**k, plain and simple...and Hawkman, is he an alien or an archeologist? And where does Hawkgirl fit in? None of it makes any damn sense...
Done.- Make more DC comic movies
If you want heroes who aren't heroes, go to Marvel.Closerframe said:Create a Darker version of every character
Glorified fan-service hero-fights with no real reason behind them are Marvel's thing. They have been since the days of Stan Lee.Closerframe said:DC's version of Marvel's Civil War
Only if it's worthwhile. JLA/Avengers? Good idea, and according to Perez you can thank Marvel for the original, better one never getting published. Batman/Spiderman? No. Not really, no.Closerframe said:Sign a partnership with Marvel Comics to make a comicbook that features both DC and Marvel characters.
Yes, yes, it would take heroes from their usual settings and put them into strange times and places - some that have existed, and others that can't, couldn't or shouldn't exist. The result would be stories that make characters who are as familiar as yesterday seem as fresh as tomorrow. Does that sound like a good idea? We could call it...Elseworlds?Closerframe said:Make a What IF? comicbook series
Because GODDAMMIT, there's not enough death in superhero comics.Closerframe said:Kill off a couple of characters
So if you took the reins at DC, you'd turn it into a Marvel clone. I got a better idea: go **** yourself.Closerframe said:Re-Design some of the heroes costumes
You grasped my point exactly, while illustrating it with all the wrong examples. If THAT'S why the Hawks and Supergirl are confusing to you, you are either a bicycle, a fire hydrant, or a two-year-old.how is Supergirl easy to understand? It's plenty easy to understand the current versions of Supergirl and the Hawks, but there are so many retconned older versions of them that it's almost impossible to even know which of your comics are even in continuity anymore. Both of them are easy to understand as well.
