I liked his appearance and treated it as just a cameo and a way to wrap up his story. I liked his "not my diagnosis" line as well

I am positive that there is a shot of Crane on the Arkham ferry at the end. its a quick shot of his disguised as a cop....

Now...you are thinking I am crazy...

But I saw the film twice in a row last night...

and this one close up of the "cop" on the Arkham ferry not only bears a striking resemblance to Cillian Murphy, he also has the same slightly shivering lower lip tremble that Crane exhibits when he gets intimidated in Begins...and he has some slight scarring around his left eye...where Rachel shocked him in Begins.

Now...I could be wrong...but Ive seen the film twice and the "cop" sure as hell looks like Murphy.

I've seen the movie once and that is Cillian at the end, there is two quick shots of him on the ferry.

Scarecrow sounded so weird when he had his mask on. Didnt even sound like him

Thats because you always hear him under the influence of fear toxin, but since nobody (important) was hit with the toxin, everyone in the scene, and the viewers, were hearing his normal voice. He probably also puts it on a bit, just to sound more intimidating to those poisoned.

I'll admit at first it didn't sound like him under the mask. But, I think it was cool how they wrapped up his character just to get it out of the way. Had they had him in any longer, it would've seemed too crowded.

yes. i also liked the scene since it was the first action fight scene in the movie.

i felt like it was nolan showing that he has learned how to make the fight scenes better and this was something that could have happened in the first one. so the scene displays that they have 'fixed' that problem.

I hope Scarecrow returns and opening of TDK should have Batman chasing him.

Damn.....saw the date on this post. You must be a prophet! So....what do you think will happen in the next film? :woot:

Almost a complete waste.

"Not my diagnosis!"

No new costume, nothing interesting to do, and no fear gas effects.

Ugh.

I've only seen the movie once so far...but to me it looked like he might have had a thin rope tied around his neck that kind of trailed into his jacket a bit in the close up of him in the mask....maybe I'm mistaken?

Scarecrow sounded like a prepubescent boy when he had his mask on.

Scary.

I liked the Scarecrow cameo and I think it was a good way to tie up some loose ends from BB.

However, I didn't much care for his voice, with and without his mask on. To me it didn't really sound like Cilian or Scarecrow from BB at all.

Well its not like he was in fear gas mode, so of course Murphy's Scarecrow voice is going to sound more normal, its the same voice he used at Arkham after batman breaks in and he tells his thugs to call the cops in BB.

To me it sounded like he was trying to sound more menacing, since hes in scarecrow mode now.

they could have atleast put him in his straight jacket! just that one little thing gives him a whole "look" as opposed to just a guy in a suit with a burlap bag over his head.
not to mention ALL the action figures they're selling of Scarecrow have him in the damn jacket!

why would he where a jacket if he was never captured and sent to arkham

^ you dont remember BB? because thats exactly what happened to him. he was captured in arkham and then locked up, then escaped.

and his voice sounded just like he did in BB. i dont get what people are complaining about. i thought his little cameo was just as creepy if not more than before.

"Buyer beware. I told you that my compounds would take you places, I never said they would be places you wanted to go."

So let me see if I got this straight cuz this is what it appeared like to me

Scarecrow was busted down to being a drug dealer when Batman caught him, right?

I'm not complaining. I liked the scene a lot. Scarecrow was definitely one of my favorite characters in BB and I'm thrilled they brought him back. The voice just didn't sound like his voice in BB to me. Its not really a complaint, I just was expecting him to sound differently.

I liked the Scarecrow's cameo , A nice way to tie-up the lose end from BEGINS at the start of THE DARK KNIGHT .

Nah, I'm pretty sure that his involvement in the Narrows Attack is public knowledge, they mentioned it once or twice in the viral videos of "Gotham Tonight" and in the online editions of "Gotham Times", I believe.
