Scariest/Creepiest things you've ever seen/experienced?

Okay, I'm reading this thread and it's creeping the hell out of me.

but it's fun to be scared. i'm alone in my house, and it's kinda cool to feel afraid of stupid things for some reason.

i recently heard this great story from my abnormal psych teacher. apparently it happened to his family in the late fifties when he was a young kid.
anyway, his parents both worked and always took their vacation time at the same time so the family could go on trips together. right before this particular 2 week vacation, a friend of his family who dabbled in realestate had just purchased a large house in a resort community, fully furnished, site unseen. as a favor to him, this family friend asked if my teacher's family would like to spend the 2 weeks at the house, enjoying the resort location and checking out the house. they accepted.
on the first day, some neigborhood kids asked my teacher if he was really staying in THAT house. when he said he was, they simply looked at each other and walked away. that night, the family went outto dinner at one of the local restaurants. when they returned later in the evening they were shocked to find every single knife in the house displayed neatly on the dining room table. they went about checking the house for intruders and found no one, likewise there was no sign of forced entry, and every door was locked when they had left.
puzzled, but not too worried i suppose, they continued their stay. over the course of the next week, there were other occurances such as rearranged furniture, pots and pans rattling and being found in use in the kitchen, loud footsteps that seemed to go directly from one end of the second story of the house to the other, even though there were walls in the middle of the path. and most notbaly, large show-like beings that watched them while they slept. by the end of the week, they decided to leave.
as you may have guessed, the reason the house was bought fully furnished and at quite a bargain, was that the family who previously owned the house picked up and left one day, leaving everything there.
my professor says that to this day, no one in his family talks about it.

By 'shadow person' you mean a silhouette you catch out of the corner of your eye everyonce in a while, right?

If so, then I've seen one, back in the apartment I grew up in. My aunt brought a Oujia board over once and we learned his name was "J". I used to think it was just an optical illusion, but I haven't seen it since we moved all those years ago.

but you know what i mean. after reading a few of the more creepy ones, it kinda makes you a bit jumpy.

Lately Ive been being 'stalked' by a certain ghost/entity or whatever. It all started a month or so ago when i was in my bathroom and my doors are like these http://www.gracepark.com.ph/images/doors_pine_louver3.jpg so you can see outside from the inside. I was facing the doors and I could see something white standing outside and obscuring my view. I opend the door and there, right in face, was a blond woman staring right in my face. I jumped back and it was gone. It started happening more and more and in differnt places. But it got worse so that i didint just blink and she'd go away. I would stare and she'd just stand there. A few days ago i felt somehting, just some inclination to turn around and like 6 feet away she was standing in my doorway just staring at me. Ive never seen her move except one time i saw my shoe move, dunno what that was about. Actaully a couple days ago I was driving home from my friends house and she was standing in the middle of the street right in front of my car. And yesterday night I saw another one that wasn't her. It was like from the angle i was standing at and looking through my open doorway i could was looking at the ground and saw these really large black dress shoes and i looked up and i could see these brown slacks and the dude was just standing there. I was stareing at him and he didint move or even look at me. That's the only one that freaked me out.

my aunt and sister see ghosts and shadows people all the time. i have ghost experiences as well, i have a few good storys.


when ever im home alone my piano downstairs plays by itself and so does my guitar, ghosts walk around up in my sisters room (i here footsteps walking up and down the stairs and into her room), i here people saying my name. i hate staying home alone.

my aunt just a few days ago saw shadows walking from the kitchen, into my bathroom. shes used to it.


when my sister first found out she can see the dead, she was up in her room, she freaked and called my dad up, and she said she saw his dead grandparents, i thought it was bs untill she answerd personal questions that they were telling her to say to my dad. its true cuz she didnt know a thing untill they told her. my dad cried cuz he was happy to contact his grandparents.

another time my family went to boston, we went to some big church, and my sister looked up at the balcany and saw a man dressed in black, waring a black vail over his face, she pointed him out and i saw nothing, nither did my parents or my other lil sister, a few months later we went on a ghost tour in conneticut with my family and my friends family, they said back in the 1800's there was a priest who lost his wife after a few years of marrage, and he was heartbroken, he mourned by goin to churches and pacing back and forth wile waring a black vail.

he than moved to boston, and he died shortly after.


after i heard that, i almost fainted cuz it was true.


there are things that go bump in the night.

My friend has it the worst. She sees dead people. But not just ghost of normal. She sees dead, mutlilated and decapitated people...all the time. She tries hard to ignore it but last year it got really bad and she would loose hours of sleep because there would be people around her. One guy she sees alot is all bloody and **** and he has a white thing like a towel tied so tightly around his face that you can see all of the outlines of his face and his mouth slowy moving. but gun shot victims, knife wounds, anything. And they look all bloody and dead and ****. And when we're walking around, day or night, she sees them and sometimes i have her tell me exactly what she sees and where and its pretty crazy sometimes. One time we were at a park really late at night and she saw this guy rolling down the hill very very very slowly and he was gutted and his organs and **** were spilling as he rolled. And some people's arms and legs are broken and they walk like really ****ed up. But yeah its pretty freaky.

not so scary:

I Had an adult male freak stalker when I was a 12 yrold kid... he stared at me and tried geting my direction (and other suspicious stuff)... I got my parents facing him and he stoped, I never get to know his real intentions...

I also had an haunted PC, one I was turning it of and it started to scream at me it also used to whisper things, not understandable but clearly human voices... even whit volume out. that was scary and Cool

Scariest thing I've ever seen...
My little brother having a seizure at Colonial Williamsburg.
This was before we knew he had epilepsy.
He had to go to the bathroom, and it wasn't to far from where we were.
My mom and I waited for him in one spot while he went down the street to the restroom.
While on the way, he falls down. My mom ran to him, and a horse drawn carriage began to go our way. We had to drag him out of the street before it came.

True story:

My friend Brian, God rest his soul, and I were in Fleet Farm (a hardware type store) and we were checking out. Well, we look over and see our old driving instructor, Mr. Sweda, who walks into the bathroom. By this time we're checked out and walk over to the bathroom to give him **** and we stand outside the door waiting for him. After a few minutes, we walk in, look around, look in the stalls, and nobody was in there. He just freaking vanished.

Another time with Brian, we ended up driving around one night for no reason after work. It's like 2 in the morning and we're about three or four miles north of the railroad tracks. (We live in rural Wisconsin) And then just like that, we end up near his house, about 6 miles away, south of the tracks. We ended up on the other side of the tracks a few miles away, without ever going over the tracks.

No alcohol or drugs were involved in either incident.

Strange Creepy Occurrence 1:

Me and some friends were bored, so we decided to drive into this small rural town outside of our home city. It's said that this old wooden bridge in the middle of the woods with virutally any support is haunted and that if you turn off your lights on it in the middle of night that you will feel your vehicle start to shake.

Well, us, dumb teenagers of about 16/17. We decide to go to the bridge at 3 in the morning. We get to the bridge cut off the lights and there's nothing for a while. Suddenly, the whole damn car just starts violently shaking. The girls start screaming and all around us there's like patters of footsteps before the shaking stops when my best friend cuts on the headlights. Scared the **** out of me.

Scary Occurrence 2:

A year or two ago my cousin was married in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I swear to you guys, up and down. That hotel was freaking haunted. Me, my cousins, my best friends. We saw all sorts of weird people who'd be there one minute, then just disappear the next. There was an old frail lady that even stood over my bed each night for like 3 or 4 minutes before just disappearing.

same **** happend to me, me and three of my friends went to some place out in longisland, and sopsedly if you stop your car before this hill some force will push the car up, were sittin about 15 mins later the car starts moving, now im thinking my frind is joking around and hitting the gas ever so slightly, but i look over at him, his feet are clenched to his chest to prove hes not doing it. fun times.
