Scooby-Doo Heading Back to the Big Screen

Some of the things the WWE owns or has licensed now is downright bizarre. I recently read they were marginally headed into the comic book market although I'm not sure exactly what their goal is there.

Its because the WWE is rolling in the PG family friendly era. So they are naturally trying to get their hands in everything from Fruity Peebles to the Flintstones and Scooby Doo.

WWE has the rights to Scooby Doo and The Flinstones.

I must admit...an evil part of me was hoping for all wrestler live action versions...

PERFECT!
I have pegged Brodus Clay as Fred Flintstone, John Cena as Barney Rubble.

These things would make Titanic money!

I love Scooby-Doo. I love it some much, that during a big Dutch holiday, me, my mom, my best friend and my sister dressed up as the Scooby Gang (A.K.A. Mistery Inc). Oh I forgot my brother. He was Scooby.

Even after the holiday, I thought it was such a shame, that I had all the costumes in my storage, that we made a commercial with it, for my parents store. It was all shot within 90 minutes, but people from our village loved it.

It's about the Scooby gang not being popular anymore, so they go to an agency, which is specialised in ''Forgotten Stars'' (The Agent played by my dad). He recommends them, going to 'De Corner' (My parents store, where they get a make-over). When they leave the store, my dad asks them:,, Hey! Didn't you guys used to have a dog?'' They reply with the classic phrase. Upon that we see the credits and we get to see some classic Scooby Doo moments, which were my favourite parts to film. The ''Ghoul'' once again, played by my dad XD

I love that my mom participated in the little short, even though she's already 45 :p

Now let's hope the movie gets made. I also loved the new series on Cartoon Network!

:funny: Naw man, Punk as Fred and Khali as Barney.

Just for Punk to say "yabba dabba doo!" before rushing at someone and pounding them.

:funny: Good job with the chase montage. Next time, have Ghostface run out of one of the doors wearing Daphne's wig, for no apparent reason.

Actually, while I disliked the live-action movies, Scooby Doo on Zombie Island was actually a surprisingly good movie.

So it is actually possible to make a good Scooby Doo movie.

I did watch that dtv WWE crossover online, and it's actually pretty good. Some of the Young Justice team worked on it.

I liked the first live action movie. It was like seeing a finale / parody of the old cartoon. Zombie Island was pretty good, too.

I wish we could have gotten this back in the day.

Made by R-gonz (Rod Gonzalez) on deviantART.

P.S I'm still hoping Big Blue and the Mystery Inc. gang meet someday.

I could see them doing another Scooby Doo movie. I think the issue with the previous films was not the writing (James Gunn) but the directing. I hate Raja Gosnell. He's awful.

Also, it would be cool if they made Scooby look more like his cartoon counterpart, with the think eyebrows. The Scooby design from the movies was a weird middle ground. A little too real, still cartoony..but not cartoony enough.

Warner Bros Ready To Reboot ‘Scooby Doo’
By MIKE FLEMING JR

EXCLUSIVE: The gestation period for reboots seems to be getting short. Warner Bros in the early stages of launching a new Scooby-Doo. The studio made a Raja Gosnall-directed live action comedy out of the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that starred Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Isla Fisher as the young sleuths. The film grossed $268 million worldwide, and Warner Bros and Gosnall made a sequel two years later. Now, the studio is starting from scratch, setting Randall Green to craft a new adventure. There are no other attachments at the moment.
What is it then, Deadline?

Didn't they just do this **** on Cartoon Network? Nobody has touched the ****ing Jetsons yet.

If it's a cartoon, I am assuming Matthew Lillard would return? He's been the voice of Shaggy in all the many tv/dvd movies and the recent cartoon series since 2010 after all.

In a perfect world, Drew Goddard or Joss Whedon would write the script.

I'd love for Whedon to take this on, we'd probably get lots of the Whedonverse actors in it.

I could so see Amy Acker as Velma, both the animated voice or live action.

I remember a story about the Jetsons being remade but it hasn't been brought up since. Scooby-Doo seems to be the current property. Even the Flintstones had a recent movie rumor bump.

Starring the cast of Cabin in the Woods.
Chris Hemsworth: Fred
Kristen Connolly: Velma
Anna Hutchison: Daphne
Fran Kranz: Shaggy
Jesse Williams: Motion Capture Scooby

I don't mind live action or animated, as long as its like Zombie Island and the Witch's Ghost.

Those were great. I also enjoyed the live action films as well.

To be fair, Scooby Doo had like 200 reboots during the 70's and 80's.
