I trust my eyes, ears and the director's output as of late. The reviews for Scream 3 weren't as bad as they should have been so if anything the critics go too easy on this series.

...............Yet you haven't seen the film and you think it's not going to be good. had all the reviews been positive you would've thought otherwise. So in reality, not theory, you trust their eyes, ears, and what they have to say about Wes Craven. Not your own opinion.

Um....not really.

Just because the critics loved a movie, doesnt make it automaticly worth seeing.

It's up to you....but the critics CAN help you steer to a direction that might work out.

I haven't seen it yet, but I wanted to post my theory, having rewatched the trilogy throughout the week in preparation.

I don't know who the killer is, but I'm guessing it is one of the older characters. I noticed in Scream 3 that Roman caught movie killer teleportation syndrome and called Sidney when he was in police custody. My guess is that the killer is someone who was working with Roman. And that is my theory. I shall leave this thread now to avoid spoilers.

A little bit of fridge logic regarding this series. It's like as soon as someone dons the Ghostface outfit suddenly they get imbued with horror movie killer powers, like superhuman strength, the inability to get felled by something that would kill a normal person, and teleportation. But when that mask comes off, man....:awesome:

LOL this is standard for most horror movie killers. Micheal Myers for example, can magically stay in pace with a victim that is running at full speed. He just calmly walks behind them he never runs. It's pretty funny and weird.
Also if there are any black folks in the movie they are doomed. O second thought Anthony Anderson has a role in this movie. Which it seems he will get killed from the preview clip I saw lol. ( I am black by the way lol).

I could see this working as a viable theory in some ways if Patrick Dempsey had returned, however Dewey, Gale and Sid are the only returnees and it's way past their point to be a killer.

It could be an off screen accomplice. When I said older, I meant age wise. Doing so would actually make Scream 3 a lot better in my eyes, as the perceived omnipotence of the killer always killed 3 for me (no pun intended). Killer teleportation and all those other horror movie cliches made sense in the first two as there were two killers, but what's the reasoning in 3?

So lets get this straight, you don't like my opinion of the lame T.V and theatrical spots so you accuse me of not having my own opinion because I factor in critics?

The critics loved Scott Pilgrim and Kick-Ass but I didn't see them because I thought that they looked like s**t. (And after viewing them on DVD my gut feelings were right on) Scream 4 looks tired and busted so I'm not seeing it either but you have fun.:awesome:

The fact that Ehren had a partner in mind and then like the foolish writer he is changed it at the last minute perhaps? Scream 3 was just filled with problems most of them by what they took away from Scream, instead of added.

Pilgrim and Kick A** both were awesome. If U didn't like it that's ur opinion and u have ur right to it.

I've never seen you NOT think a movie was tired and busted though. I don't think I've ever once seen you in any forum say you genuinely liked a movie.

I read through a bunch of reviews and digest the positive and negative. It all depends on their reasons for not liking the film to me. Some reviews are helpful and some are misguiding it all depends. However nothings going to talk me out of Scream 4 , even if it stinks I have to know first hand.

For those of you who do not want to be spoiled, I suggest you avoid the LA Times article- It spills the beans about the identity of GhostFace in the opening paragraph and spoiled the movie for me :csad:

What the hell is wrong with people.

Which is my thing with most of the negative reviews for this movie so far. They bring up things that don't make sense. The word overlong keeps coming up but the movie is a pretty standard length. They also bring up the meta influences on the film, yet that's part of what a Scream film is.

The movie isnt even ****ing out yet???

How do you know the movie isnt a horrible mess of ******** like My Soul To Take?

Um ok 1st of all Scream being compared to that ****fest of a movie my Soul to take is ridculious. Scream already had a franchise built before this movie even came out. We know what to expect from Scream 4 we did not know what to expect from My Soul to take.

Same director.

I have no idea what Scream 4 is going to be like. I'm going to see it because i'm a fan of the franchise...but I have to be skeptical.

and 2nd of all it's all opinions and so there's no way of"knowing"when it's just your own thoughts on it!

That's cool and stuff! But still! It's silly to assume it's going to be perfect! ! !!!!

I'll sure agree with that!,I personally am fine with movies at least being decent imo,as long as it's 2 1/2 or 3 out of 5(or 5 out of 10).....It'll be cool with me and I'll likely watch it again another time and even may find it's way into my dvd shelf!!(mostly IF it's part of a franchise/series)

I was fortunate to see a clip of My Soul to Take and that was god awful. Anything I've seen involving Scream 4 looks good. Who knows the killer could be a monkey and this could be a tie-in to Jay and Silent Bob strike back.. I'd be very surprised though.

Can someone tell me if the Blu Rays are formatted better than the old Dimension Collector Series DVDs? Cause on my widescreen TV and widescreen monitors, even adjusting the aspect ratio never quite makes it true widescreen or full screen. It comes out as a smaller square surrounded by black. I can make it better on my PC, but on my TV it never really gets that close to traditional widescreen. I am running it on a PS3 for the TV, so I dunno if that is the issue, or not, but it gives a similar issue on my PC but my media player has more ratio settings thatn apparently my TV does.

Just watched all three on Blu-ray. The sound and picture are amazing. Especially the sound.
