Just returned from midnight showing...

I concur with the poster above me...

VERY GOOD! It is as good as the original, with Scream 2 as the next favorite, and Scream 3 as my least favorite. It didn't feel like a cash-in; it felt like Craven/Williamson really tried to bring out fresh ideas with this sequel.

I was happy with deaths/survivors.

I did find the killer's identity a bit predictable by half-way through the movie, but then again I'm usually good at figuring out those things any ways.

But I still enjoyed who the killer ended up being. It was appropriate.

And the ending was really tense!

I dug it.

I never found Hayden P. (won't bother trying to spell her crazy last name) attractive on "Heroes" - she looked like a munchkin, like a midget kid - but here I thought she was hottest of the endless amount of hot girls in this film)

Just got back. What can I say? 11 years was well ****ing worth it. My favorite Scream past the first one now. The crowd I saw it with? WAS AMAZING. And the killer's reveal illicated a very loud ''SHUT THE **** UP" from one gentleman in the audience.

I can't even form into words how much of a glorious return for Scream this is. It's so well written, sharp, and my god I want more, but I don't even know how the **** they would do more.

I'm so glad you feel this way. I read some ppl say the finale dragged on and on..................but in my opinion I didn't want it to end! I think its my favorite finale of all the Scream films!

Just got back from my midnight showing and I was not disappointed!

Writing was clever and funny! The opening had everyone laughing!
All the characters in this were cool in their own unique way. Hayden is my new desire as she was smoking HOT LIKE THE CRISPY SUN!...sorry couldn't help myself. Emma Roberts was cute in this and I liked her character...she used to be on Nickelodeon so it was weird.
The Culkin kid stood out too and I loved his scenes!

When the killer twist reveal happened I yelled obnoxiously, "**** YOU!" in a good way. From the reveal on was one of the best theater experiences I've ever witnessed! Everyone was extremely into it and the intensity and laughs were non stop!

Having a midnight audience is so great! Can't wait for summer films! Having seen all 4 films...I enjoyed this and will end up buying it on Blu Ray. SCRE4M is the Scream 1 for the new generation, and it's awesome knowing it.

She was ******* CRAZY! And she was hilarious too! She ran into a wall with a pictured frame! And threw herself into a table! Everyone was going nuts in the theater.

Jill just went nuts at the end and it was...i don't know the word. Her shooting Trevor in the balls was too much though. YOU DON'T MAKE A MAN GO THROUGH THAT PAIN!

I honestly can't see how there can possibly be another sequel. This whole movie was a message that said loud and clear "REMAKES SUCK"... Sid said at the end "Don't F*** with the original" and only she, Dewey, and Gale lived... and every NEW character except the blonde cop died....and the blonde cop was a grown woman... all the kiddies died... so for every poster who is saying "Bring on Scream 5"... sweet lord... why? why? why? I was very pleased that the only surviving characters were Sid, Dewey, and Gale. It goes to show that Craven understood that those are the only characters the audience cared about, and since he created them, he cares too

The movie was very clearly saying ''**** REMAKES!'" and every character in the teenage was a new generation version of someone in the original group. So I can see why she died and didn't become a new hero/villain mixture.

But will Sid actually be able to live in peace now? I mean Jill and Charlie created the remake, but what if someone wants to make sequels to the remake? I don't know. I'm just trying to wrap my head around how this is suppose to start a whole new trilogy.

I just don't know what the hell it could be, and if it's a good idea once it's announced, because let's face it most likely will be, is when I'll decide if it's a good idea to do a 5th one.

I heard this was the intended plan from Kevin Williamson all along. Jill was going to survive in the end and get away with it. Then I think him and the Weinsteins (as usual lol) got into a creative fight and kevin got pissed and walked away. That was around the time they did additional shoots in the hospital, when originally they wrapped all the hospital scenes up.

So my guess after Kevin left, the Weinsteins got their way and Wes filmed the last hospital scene for the last 10 minutes of the movie. I like it either way. That last shot was very.......tragic and ironic.
