Scream 5 in Development

…even from the Spanish trailer leak, I can tell Ghostface has never looked this good since the original.

”Hello Sidney, it’s an honor.”

No trailer with my Fathom Events screening. Gutted (pun intended)

It has to be. That's what made that reveal so lame. The look on Sidney's face when he reveals himself is, "Who are you?" Sidney should have had some interaction with him at least.

What makes these films scary is that someone close to Sid isn't who they say they are and they're close to her to achieve their goal in killing her. That is horrifying and it's no wonder Sid's whole life got ****ed up after Scream 2 when Mickey victimized her.

When the only thing about the film that people seem to like is Parker Posey being extra camp, you know that Scream 3 was a miss from the top down.

Technically, no one did.

Not true. Gale and Dewey knew him. They had met him. Sidney never did. Didn't even know he existed until he unmasked himself. Even then she didn't know who the hell he was.

The 2nd Gale was a Williamson idea. No wonder it's the standout of the movie!

The fact we'll never see his Scream 3 is a crime. Would have been brilliant.

Pretty much.

I’m just joking about his character being one giant retcon.

Is this movie gonna be about reboots? Cox said rebooting the franchise and there is that still that looks right out of Scream with Casey.

I think the run is going to be more about legacy sequels. I heard they will mock sequels like Halloween 2018 that have the same title as the original.

I like the new poster, but I do think it could've been a little more inventive or had a cooler, more unique shot of Ghostface.

Where did you hear this? I've stayed away from details but if that's the case that's music to my ears.

Pretty sure Shape is referencing the Twitter account ViewerAnon, who has had accurate scoops with other films (his tweets following The Matrix Resurrections screening have been all proven correct the more we learn of the film). He says he's seen the film (and really liked it).

I'd be careful about reading his tweets though because he's dropped a few things that I kind of wish I didn't know, though no major spoilers. But it all sounds good.

Oh, so it's coming from him. So the fact it's titled Scream has a purpose?

The Scream title and Williamson long ago said it wasn't meta were the things that had me worried but now that those two things are in the movie, hot damn,. this could be something really good.
