SDCC-2017 (Justice League/DCEU)

DC/WB got traumatized by the whole Doomsday backlash, judging from what they have shown so far, we can pretty much be sure were not gonna be seeing Sups until were in our seats come Nov.

Which is stupid because that was a completely difference situation. Nobody knew that Doomsday was even in the picture. That people thought that by showing Doomsday in the trailer and the trinity uniting that it took away from the main concept of Superman being at odds with Batman.

However, EVERYONE knows that Superman is going to be in this film...so again, very stupid logic.

Hey, I'm with ya brother, and i agree, i worked out the same math you have! And add that Henry been posting pics on his Instagram with him in Costume.

Still though, i think this is a smart move on DC/WB's part, it honestly makes me more hyped for the movie knowing we have a major special reveal that we all have been dieing to see! And Henry NOT being there today just spiced it up that much more! Exciting stuff! ;)

And until then we have to endure getting absolutely nothing (no pictures, no posters, nothing other than meaningless toys and popcorn cups) of superman.

I really do wish that I could take the approach that you guys have done. I am seriously thinking though about just giving up on Superman and becoming a Aquaman or Flash fan. At least then I have something realistic to look forward to.

I even threw away my Man of Steel DVD earlier today.

Superman is a character of hope. Don't turn your back on hope, herolee.

Am I supposed to be excited for Flash's first feature film to be Flashpoint? Really, why?

I did the opposite in selling my Batman v Superman DVD and keeping the MoS DVD.

Maybe it is related to his brief sequence in BvS?

It'll still be an adaptation of Flashpoint. We're no doubt getting Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman and other members of the League in it which is something I absolutely do not want.

Perhaps, but there's nothing to hope for regarding what I've always wanted to see with him and the League. And frankly, I'm tired and done going with the concept that I'll just wait for the next film to see what I want. I've been doing that since MOS and with each new installment, I found myself disappointment a lot more than the previous time.

I would rather be a fan of Aquaman and Flash who will get their own solo films and be featured prominently in everything JL related than stick with a character who has obviously gotten the shaft.

If anything, I'll just think of BvS and JL as a two part feature, where Batman and Wonder Woman are the primary protagonists of the story. Makes it easier to digest it all. But this is definitely not a three part trilogy that was promised to us for Superman's character. That was thrown out the window the moment Batman came in BvS.

Don't give up Herolee! It will pay off in the end. I know it will! I'm pretty sure the person Alfred was speaking too had red on his shoulder!

That statement of MOS being the one that started it all was BS because at that point we had no idea they would involve Batman. BVS was the real start as far as WB is concerned.

Thanks for support but I think I'm going to have to give up on this version of Superman at some point. And I know that was superman that Alfred was talking to.

But there's really nothing tangible for me to be excited about anymore. I didn't wait this long for a JL film just to get what is pretty much coming up to be a glorified cameo

Snyder and everyone kept saying that there is "no Justice League without Superman", but all of the advertising and trailers that we've gotten say differently. You don't promote something that is incomplete.

Pretty much. MOS is more or less a standalone film, one that I had no interest in anymore as result of so many broken promises and lies from the producers, hence why I threw it away today.

One thing I learned from Smallville is that you can never go by what producers say. It's the film and TV content that says it all.

Hang in there, herolee! I know how you feel.

We see a Superman hologram with a red cape and people think it's not a Superman hologram with a red cape. Nevah change, Hype. :funny:

And it's shown while SW is saying "no Kryptonian".

It's literally saying Superman while showing Superman. Yet people think it's Supergirl? Seriously?

Yep. Keep the faith, because you won't want to miss out on his return. Showing Superman footage at this point is only going to ruin the cinema experience. Imagine if they didn't show Doomsday at all in the BvS trailers. They handled Superman in this trailer exactly as they should have IMO. He's mentioned and alluded to but that's it.

Honestly, a part of me is seriously just thinking of waiting for the film to come out on DVD/Digital download. Either that, or I can wait for someone to upload Superman's scenes on youtube once it's officially out since I don't think it'll be that hard to composite all of superman's scenes in this film and put them on a single youtube video.

The only reason why I wanted to see a JL film was to see Superman with the league for a good portion of it. If that's not going to be the case, then I don't want to waste my hard earned money on it for a single return moment.

Yeah, I think they're doing a pretty good job of building anticipation for Superman's inevitable return. It's almost akin to subliminal advertising the way they constantly mention or allude to him in the trailer. By the end of it, you're left wanting the reveal so bad you can practically taste it; but all we get is a glimpse of his cape. When he finally shows up in what I assume will be the final trailer or the film itself, it's going to be such a satisfying payoff.

According to the majority of the internet there is no red cape. Only a green ring in Alfred's glasses... :o :cmad:
Man those comments are pissing me off and they're everywhere!

Leaving him out of the trailers is one thing. But is it really necessary to leave him out of ALL of the theatrical posters as well? That's going overkill. If they had at least presented him in the posters, then I honestly don't think that I'd be as irritated as I am now, especially in the Alex Ross inspired poster that we got today.

I mean shoving him out of everything is what really destroyed any excitement that I had for this film.

I hear you. Even knowing why they're going about it this way, I can only imagine how crappy a feeling it must be to have your favorite character excluded from most of the promotional material and such. It requires a great deal of patience on your part.

All I can do is echo what the others have said, and tell you to hang in there. The dawn is coming.

Thanks for the warning. I'll stay here where it's safe.
