I'm surprised no one else has posted this yet. I found it over at Kryptonsite boards. I don't know whether to believe it, but it sounds rather interesting if it turns out to be true.

**with Clark Kent trapped in the phantom zone, and Lex Luthor using his new powers, the earth is in danger, and if you think nothing can be worse than that, Lana has decided to support Lex instead of Clark, and a terrible villian is about to attack the world. the sixth season of smallville will bring us unexpected things that no one could ever imagined.

**super surprises**
the new season is full of them.
clark has to decide what to do with his incredible abilities and his human side. Lex is getting more power, is growing apart from his friends, and he starts to become the villian we all know; Lana will discover who Clark really is, Lois Lane leaves smallville...do you still want to read more?

**the future**
is in the sixth season where the main caracthers will suffer experiences that might change their lifes forever, and as they happen it'll get closer to the future..what will happen to Clark, Lana and the others? to those who are wonderin, here are a headlights:

Clark: he's confused, and he'll take the way to discover himself. and in the end of the season he'll make a journey that years later will give him the opportunity to become the hero that we all know.

Lana:what will happen with Lana? well, right now she has decided to stand by her new man: Lex Luthor, but in this season she'll discover the truth about Clark, and he won't have another choice but tell her about him. Lana will need to understand why she was the last to know, and besides what's she gonna do when Lex finds out that she knows Clark's secret?

Lex: this is definetly the season where he becomes the villian we all want to see, he's going to focus just in himself, and how to get what he wants, he'll hurt Lana.

Lois: she'll go to college again, leaving smallville, and years later she and Clark will meet again.

I'm still unsure as to how much I'm believing that. :O

Unless it's the final season (nobody will know till the spring), I re-heeeeely doubt the writers will let Lana in on the secret just yet, so I'm as skeptical as you, B8.

I'm with you guys but I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, when Lexana is over I have the feeling Clark is going to tell her. Plus I always said that this season should end with him leaving to travel the world...

i think he should travel the world this season.

With all of these spoilers, Season 7 is without a doubt the last season . Because their not fooling around anymore NOW their getting down to Business, With Lois Lane , Clark Kent & Lex Luthor moving forward towards their ultimate DESTINY .

It's about Time .

I thought that initially, but I think this could be an interesting route to take.

If Lana finds out early in Season 6, then she is going to have to keep that secret from Lex as she kept secrets from Clark in Season 5. Mirror Image.

Lana has to understand why Clark never told her. If Lex is hurting her to get those secrets out of her, then she'll understand why Clark never told her.

Clark sounds like he's going to be a little confused about Lana turning to the "dark side" so easily, so he's going to need a reason to consider her his life long friend.

If she gets hurt in the process of trying to protect Clark, then you can bet your bottom dollar that he's gonna worship her even more than he does now. However, he will have fallen out of love with her but love her as a life long friend, a true confidante.

This whole process will probably take a good part of the season, leaving season 7 for them to explore "endings and tidying up".

Allison Mack mentioned that having Chloe aware of Clark's secret in the season opener gave them the opportunity to use that knowledge to drive alot of the plots in the episodes throughout the season.

I think this could also factor in Lana knowing about Clark too.

Some good speculating there ^avid. I like it.
But I refuse to get my hopes up. I'm just taking it one ep at a time.

Problem is, when we last saw Lana, she wasn't all that friendly with Clark. And she didn't have a reason to hide things from Lex. Now personally, I get a great big warm and fuzzy from just looking at a black and white *drawing* of... Clark, so I can't relate to Lana's issues. (LOL!) That said, if the writers go the route you suggest, I hope they don't dig Lana a deeper hole. They have a tendency to do that with her, whether they want to or not. ;)

Yes, but Clark could ask her not to say anything in order to protect his mother and Chloe.

Knowing the secret and having events happen that show her why its a secret, makes it far more interesting than telling her then recapping it all as an explanation.

It was some of DeKnights comments that led me to this way of thinking.

I thought everybody thought like that. You think there are some that dont?

What sort of hole would that be?

Now 'THIS IS THE SEASON, I've Been waiting for !!!!!!

{"EVERYTHING YOU'VE WAITED TO SEE WILL HAPPEN" !!!! - This tagline from season 5} [was ment for this Season, THE SIXTH SEASON OF SMALLVILLE] The GO FORWARD season .

Interesting...

*triplet strokes her chin thoughtfully*

I hope they do that... it would definitely up the conflict between Lana and Lex and complicate the relationship between Lana and Clark.

It could make for some excellent TV.

Avid, I really like your thought process for Lana's story arc this season. I truly hope they go this route. It would make for an interesting season for her character. You mentioned some hints that DeKnight left in his thread leading you to conclude this about Lana. Would you mind summarizing what you saw?

i hope this happens as well it should be a great season
cant wait for it to start.

Exactly!!!

I'm with Serene.....the ideas are great, and if true will make for the best season of the show. But I really don't want to get my hopes up too much yet...but there is nothing wrong with speculation; I guess.

One of the reasons I find it a little hard to believe was when Mr. DeKnight came over to here, he said that Lana wouldn't find out till near the end of the series, and unless plans change, that would mean that this is possibly the last season, and I don't want it to be.:( :)

i think we got two left including this one.

Season 7 will be the last season, If they continue past Season 7, then they will have killed the show .

That's what I think. Everyone is "sick to death" of Lana not finding out. However, to just tell her and have her all sweet about it, the way Chloe was, doesnt make for any dynamics.

As wonderful as the relationship between Chloe and Clark was last season, I always felt like there was something missing. She accepted him from the get and go and thought he was Super. There was no, for want of better words "oh, Clark you're so special and wonderful" stuff going on between them. She mostly played the voice of reason for him.

Now if we had Lana learn the secret, but be at odds with Clark, whilst slowly over time see and appreciate everything he is and does, I think makes the whole situation more entertaining and it also gives you the Clark Kent is Superman aspect to the story.

Even though Clark is heroic in every episode we dont get to appreciate how heroic he is because no one is shown to be amazed by what he does.

Doing it this way also allows Lana, whilst she's in a relationship with Lex, to not be threatened by holding out on him, like in Reckoning. Then by the time Lexana is dissolving she'll understand and be able to carry the burden of the secret better. It also gives the Lana character alot more to deal with other than just her relationship woes.

Well he said there was some great stuff coming up with Lana. Al & Miles had an approach to her character that was indeed going to be fascinating. He said she had his favourite moment in the Season Opener.

Honestly, it's nothing specific but it just makes you wonder why all of a sudden she's going to be fascinating and have wonderful moments, when up until now she's really just been the love of Clark Kent's life.

Avid, I really like your thought process for Lana's story arc this season. I truly hope they go this route. It would make for an interesting season for her character.

Thanks. I think if they take the story along this route, it would put Lana and Lex in a very interesting situation with Clark.

Al & Miles said Clark was going to have to try and keep his secret harder than ever.

Well he did say that a few months ago, and do you honestly think that he would give away a major plot point like that. And how do you interpret "towards the end of the series". Last episode, last season, last couple of seasons. That line could mean anything.

You're right Avid, his words were kind of ambiguous. It could go anywhere, and if this is the route they go, I'm all for it. My wife and I have been jonesing for Lana to find out since season three. I really want to see it, but what you described would work really well. The trouble with her and Lex because of the secret would really help her character figure out why Clark was so secretive. It will be great if it works out that way.

And the thing is that every time one of the main characters discovers the truth, they show it in a different way.

  • Pete found the space ship, Clark was forced to tell him.
  • Chloe saw him use his powers, decided to keep it to herself until he was ready to share, however when she was in peril she had to reveal she knew.
  • Lex had to be saved by Clark and saw him use his powers, but an episode later forgot.
  • Clark will be forced to tell Lana (maybe to help Lex) but will keep it to herself and the story goes.

Lois Will be the only Woman he will openly reveals his secret to in The Future because he wants too . He won't be force & it won't be by accident . It will be because Clark Kent by his own Choice will reveal he's SUPERMAN, because he loves Lois & he trust her and he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, with no secrets or lies.
