Arrow Season 8, Episode 10: "Fadeout" (SERIES FINALE; MAJOR SPOILERS)

Finale was everything I wanted it to be. Gets a solid 'A' from me.

It seems Marc Guggenheim has been trying to name check "John Byrne" for years and finally got his chance.

Arrow Series Finale: Who is John Byrne?

I'm genuinely curious. If Barry were giving the middle finger, would that pic be allowed on here? Because in the UK, that's exactly the equivalent of what he's doing sticking two fingers up like that.

....well in the US that's generally "peace out" sign and very commonly used.

Is anyone else seemingly annoyed by the fact that everyone seems to have dual memories now, and remembers both versions of their lives? Didn’t Alex specifically say on Supergirl that John didn’t want to pass the knowledge on to more than a select few. Why does everyone suddenly know?

I’m surprised nobody else has brought this up. Yeah I’m also annoyed that it seems everyone else knows about pre and post crisis. I think it would have been more interesting if only the paragons remembered and everyone else went about their lives as if nothing changed. I think that was the original plan as shown at the end of the Crisis crossover but in the Arrow finale it looked like everyone remembered and openly talked about Oliver recreating the multiverse.

Granted, it’s not impossible that Ramsey might join S&L. But after eight seasons as a sidekick on one show, would he want to do the same on another? (And would the audience want this redux?) Even if he did transfer, it doesn’t seem likely that it could be in any “Green Lantern” capacity - given the HBO Max project.
Diggle has appeared on the Flash a couple of times, so it's not like he's new to guest appearances or support roles, and if he is moved over to the Superman show as a supporting character, end of the day, it's a job, and if the price is right, why shouldn't he take it?

There's no saying they couldn't, or wouldn't link him (as a Lantern) to the HBO show in the future; maybe the boxed ring he came across actually arrived from elsewhere in the multiverse? We know there's a (new) multiverse where the GLC exists already.

How come the "Justice League" didn't attend the funeral/ memorial? They lit the flame for Oliver at the Hall of Justice before and made him a seat at the table (to which others weren't invited). They could've attended as well - people like J'onn, Clark, Batwoman, Black Lightning even. And where was Ray Palmer?
I guess there was just no need for them? I figure the funeral was low-key, and specifically for people who had been impacted by Ollie; he put his life on the line for both Barry and Kara, whereas Jefferson, Kate (crapwoman), J'onn etc didn't really know Ollie. I'd have thought Clark would've been there though, cause Ollie has had scenes with him and sacrificed himself to save Clark's cousin, but it just wasn't to be.

In the UK, he'd be telling people "up yours" with that gesture.

Being from the UK, I always thought the peace sign was the same gesture, but with the fingers inward.

Yeah, this got me. I mean I get some of the Supergirl cast knowing, and maybe some of Team Flash and Team Arrow, but why did the likes of Moira, and the general press need to know? The writing of this episode seemingly completely undermined everything that was stated not to be in Supergirl.

If I were making a priority list, I'd put Felicity's parents (at least in terms of plausibility), Slade Wilson, Helena Bertinelli, Walter Steele, Katana, Susan Williams, and maybe others above Clark, but regardless, they couldn't get everyone (and possibly didn't think about it in certain cases).

Traditionally, the peace sign was pointed upward, palm facing out.

Just for reference, this is meant to be the same thing, though I can see how inward fingers could be misinterpreted.

That's what I thought. In the UK that would be considered offensive if you stuck two fingers up at someone like that. If someone started shouting at you, and you were from the US and simply wanted to tell them "peace out brother" and stuck two fingers up at them with the backs of your fingers showing, they would get even more angry and it would completely inflame the situation. You've pretty much told them to go **** off.

Was anyone else surprised that Ray Palmer didn't make an appearance at Oliver's funeral? I mean the guy was a series regular back in Season 3.

I was from the start as he started out in Arrow before moving to Legends of Tomorrow.

I wondered if Nyssa Al Ghul was going to appear and thank goodness she did.
