There's no way that Rick doesn't find out what the Oceanside women have been up to, and that just felt like a way to give that community something to do, really. Plus, Simon orchestrated that whole thing, right? If anything, Negan did the Oceanside community a favor by killing him.
And willing to bet that Maggie and Daryl don't even see or reach Negan until the very end of next week's episode.
Was Scott Gimple the worst show runner TWD has had? There has been a noticeable improvement not so much in quality, but in content. Episodes are actually about something. And they've managed to make character conflict tie into plot situations that feel natural. It's just a shame that this has happened probably too late for most viewers.
It's probably gone for good. We're now in a new place on this show where it's all about rebuilding society. There's more people, the days of going on scavenging runs is mostly over. But that's sort of why I'm digging the show, now. Seeing them travel by horse, building bridges, there's a practicality to it I find interesting to watch.
