Transformers Second Lieutenant: The Jazz Apprectiation Thread

^Me too, but Jazz is creeping up on BB and OP as my favourite, JUST because of that scene, he is just awesome in it.

i'm just wondering why it had to be ironhide who screamed: "it's starscream!" and not jazz. at least we could have seen jazz' face up close. more importantly, it should have been jazz' role to take command in that situation, not ironhide's, since prime was not around yet.

Were was Jazz in that scene? I dont remember now, was he even about?

Very true, he was awesome in that scene.

Agreed.

i admit that i don't know where exactly jazz was at that time, but right after starscream's first attack in mission city, sam shouted at jazz to back off just before he called for ratchet for BB's injury. jazz was even still in car mode at that time. that's also another thing i'm wondering about.

I wonder will Jazz have more screentime in that IMAX version..?

i was gutted Jazz got killed....he seemed the only one with any preverbial balls to actually have ago at every decepticon he met even if they were twice his size.....he tackled destroyer and broke chunks off and then even to his last seconds he went out fighting against the main bad guy.....hes a tough cookie....

i personally think if anyone shouldve been destroyed it shouldve been bumble bee....the annoying thing kept whimpering.....he shouldve just died and that be that....

Yeah, i think it was just a normal movie editing error.

Jazz was amazing but i loved Bumblebee too, he was one of my favourites. I was also gutted when Jazz got killed though, i hope he comes back in some way.

I was also not very happy when Jazz was killed, more so with how easy it was, he should have been able to put up a bit of a fight, Jazz will be back in TF2.

i dont think it was an error...think about it...next to OP, ironhide is the next biggest autobot....jazz is clearly the smallest if jazz and bumblebee had held up the truck it wouldve wiped them both out.thats why ironhide took the scene for that one.hes bigger and can take more.

agreed that ironhide should hold up that truck. however, it should have been jazz calling out the orders. he could have just commanded ironhide to do so. plus, that would have meant more screen and speaking time for the Lt. who doesn't want that? :cwink:

Hey whats up everyone, it's been a while since I been on here.

Does anybody remember that animated gif of Jazz transforming?

Well in the scene were before Bumblebee gets captured, OP tells everyone to Roll Out, if you look Jazz transforms the exact same way he did in that animated gif.

I didnt feel like posting it in the G1 references thread lol

I would like to have seen more of Jazz as well, I agree that he could have given out the orders in Robot mode, then transformed into car mode and attacked Brawl, it would only have been a few seconds but the more of Jazz the better and it still would have fit into the flow of that scene.

As Katiserg said, Jazz was the leader at that point so he should have been giving out the orders, plus with TF it shouldnt matter how big a robot is, Jazz is the first Lieutenant for some reason.

True Jazz is the 1st Lieutenant and should have been giving out the orders, but I like to think by his actions of going right at Brawl and Megatron he showed that size does not matter, only courage and valour do.

100% agreed, not only did he show courage and bravery, but he lead by his actions, and did something truly heroic in the movie.

I like his style :D

Aw man Jazz was great in the movie.

I too loved his final scene. Went out like a true warrior. I'm glad Prime acknowledged him at the end.

"Aww....Jazz". Wonderful moment. :csad:

They should build a monument to him in the sequel to honour his bravery and sacrifice. He's a true hero. :csad:

I liked Jazz. IDK I might buy his Hasbro figure if I run into one and I like it.

Didn't know Darius Mccrary who played Eddie Winslow on the show Family Matters voiced Jazz until after I saw him listed in the end credits.

Did the Autobots keep Jazz's body in hopes of trying to bring him back or was he one of the ones who was disposed of in the sea?

HOLY CRAP, you're kidding me?!?

I didn't know that either! :wow:

I don't think Jazz was disposed in the sea, I'm pretty sure OP stashed him somewhere where he can bring him back for the sequel. :cwink: Here's hoping anyway.

In the movie novel, Jazz didn't have such a great death scene as in the movie. It sort of reminded me of a scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when Indy's heart was almost ripped out of his chest. Megatron did something similar with Jazz's all spark in the book.

That would make it easier for him to come back though...hmm.....
