I would love to see the Phantasm in one of the movies, she would be awsome for that part as well.

The problem with having Andrea Beaumont/Phantasm is we all know the mystery already. There'd have to be a different twist on it....like having Rachel be the Phantasm...which IMO wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Phantasm shouldn't be in a live-action movie. It wouldn't really make sense. It was a character that worked for one specific story, so in order to really put the character in one of Nolan's movies, they'd have to actually adopt that story. So basically we'd be getting a live action Mask of the Phantasm, which seems kinda pointless.

Only long-term, recurring villains should be used. You can take Joker or Scarecrow and adapt them to film making minor changes to their first encounter with Batman and such. Joker and Batman's first meeting doesn't have to be exactly like The Man Who Laughs. But taking someone like Holiday and putting them in a film that's not The Long Halloween seems kinda off, do you get what I mean?

Yes, I get exactly what you mean., and I feel the same way. I think having the Phantasm or Holiday or Hangman or even Hush at this point would be a bad idea.

If they wanted to do a Loebian storyline, though, they could create a serial killer that is similar to one or more of these villains, and do something like having Rachel killing Mobsters or something.

Wouldn't be entirely bad as long as they stay away from adapting specifically one other story thats already been done.

A little too tall and doesn't give off the right vibe IMO.

The look, but not the persona. The Penguin is not a typical, Tony Soprano type gangster. He's much more refined and classy. He's an upper class gentleman who just happens to be involved in some shady business.

In the comics he was like that - in the movie he is rumored to be an arms dealer - so his movie version will differ (if ever so slightly) from his comic persona. I think Pantoliano could nail both personas if needed.

I can't see him as a proper British gentleman. If the part was written more like Ralphie, his character from The Sopranos, I can see it working, but he doesn't seem right as the proper British gentleman type. Plus, I think there was a rumor some time ago that The Penguin might be depicted as Russian.

Pantoliano might actually make a good Bullock.

I never heard of this actor before, what films has he made?

You'd know him if you saw him. He's been in tons of films. Off the top of my head, his most notable works are The Fugitive, The Matrix (he played Cypher) and Memento (he was Teddy Gammell).

Here's his filmography:

He first caught my eye in Daredevil (Ben Urich) but since then I have seen him in several things including the Matrix, the Sopranos.

Joe Pantoliono will always be Cypher from The Matrix to me.

No, that was just some site getting confused after he was rumored to be British. Does Cobblepot sound like a Russian name?

As I said before, it could be pronounced "Czzvzxzvobblepot" if he was Russian.

They could've changed it a little bit, like maybe Cobblepov to make it more Russian sounding. That being said, I never put much thought into it.

And shaggyaggie457, thanks for putting me in your sig.
