It's sad news, but the worst thing?

Folks get slaughtered by masses, women raped, pedophiles still walk this Earth, group suicide acts, people forced to be at wars they don't want to be part of or have no reason to be in, and they fall before the rest......
Not to ignore Boston's Marathon bombing, and then the worst thing ever is this?

Has anyone defended them? All I've seen is people defend Muslims, who lets face it, are the current go to guys to blame for anything terror attack related. This guys are monsters and really, a religion with all it's already got against it, does not deserve these guys adding to it.

The people who are now at most in danger are the Muslim population of Britain. 2 mosques have already been attacked near where I live.

Oddly enough if people are attacked it will be the brown skinned muslims...People cant tell which black people are muslims. These guys were Nigerians I believe, but when someone thinks of a muslim they think of brown skinned people.

What a silly post. Nobody has claimed that this is the 'worst thing ever', merely that it formed a uniquely disgusting spectacle in the public arena.

I think this is the most disturbing thing that I have ever seen.

I fully admit it's the worst thing for me on a personal level because this is something which happened in the country I live so therefore I relate to it more so, I sympathise with other countries when they face problems that have been listed but I feel you are slightly more removed if you are not actually living in that country, but to be honest your post seems a little like it's belittling whats happened, no ones saying it supersedes all of the worlds many many injustices it's just shocking that this can happen in this country, or maybe your just feeling argumentative, or i'm one of the uneducated and your the progressive thinker, either way your post comes across as negative.

I don't wonder why. That's giving way too much validation to a murderous piece of crap. Islamic extremism existed long before the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and will exist long after they're over (the war in Iraq is). These guys are just losers. It's messed up you would repost their schizophrenic ramblings as if it were some sage advice we would be wise to heed. There is no justification for this. At all.

The fascinating dichotomy of events like these is the actions of the absolute worst people always bring out the absolute best in others. We saw this in 9/11 and the Boston bombings too.

One of the attackers Michael Adebowale got his ass kicked in prison

Woolwich murder suspect Michael Adebolajo has been attacked in Belmarsh prison, south-east London, the Ministry of Justice has said.

Police are investigating the assault, which took place on Wednesday.

It is understood Mr Adebolajo has lost his two front teeth and has since been undergoing medical treatment.

Mr Adebolajo, 28, from Romford, east London, is one of two men accused of murdering Fusilier Lee Rigby outside Woolwich barracks on 22 May.

Michael Adebowale, 22, from Greenwich, south-east London, is his co-accused.

Mr Adebolajo is also accused of the attempted murder of two police officers and possession of a firearm with intent to cause others to believe that violence would be used.

Their Old Bailey trial has been set for 18 November.
