It’s apparently not fully done despite these articles burying that lede. It was a scheduling thing. Could possibly hold off until next summer. Reallllly hope this isn’t gone for good.

Luca is an amazing fit. The idea of him doing something pulpy and fun is killer.

Hopefully they’ll come back to it, but I doubt it. This was transparently the most interesting movie on their docket.

Would have preferred Craig over Farrell but man this cast was looking good. Assuming Lea Seydoux would have been our French resistance fighter lol but really cool to see David Jonsson getting more consideration in Hollywood too—he was easily my favorite part of the new Alien.

For the record, Folie is a horrifically bad movie but it’s also good Phillips was allowed to make it.

Also: Luca is not Phillips. He’s a vastly, vastly better filmmaker.

I'm done arguing with you. I don't take back anything I said. I don't think Luca Guadagnino is a good fit for WWII blockbuster-type action adventure movies. His career is better off not doing a movie like this.
