Not in the slightest.Does anyone actually feel sorry for Frank dying and all?
Addiction in general is indeed a grey area, but there are a very large number of alcoholics out there who still show at least some semblance of concern for or interest in their family, even while being in denial about their disease or refusing to get help. Frank has shown me no redeeming character trait throughout the entire course of the show that tells me he deserves any of my empathy. He strikes me as someone who was always something of a narcissistic a-hole, even when he was young.I wouldn't say I feel sorry for him, but I do feel sorry for Carl, who's doing his damndest to keep Frank in the land of the living. And as horrible as Frank is, alcoholism is a disease. I'm not saying that takes all self control out of the question... It just makes it a bit of a grey area, for me at least.
