Shameless

You are not just transitioning from freshman to sophomore but teenager to adult. Not everyone is really aware of everything that entails. Like actually having important mail addressed to you.

Im passed the mail part. He really should have read the terms of the scholarship. Thats on him bc that WAS in his hands. He had to sign for it the first time. The ONLY way he can be completely ignorant about it is if he didnt read it and if thats the case, who's fault is it?

That is all part of the learning process in college. You find out the ultimate failure is on you. I've never said I would absolve him of any fault because I knew it was my fault, when i was in that situation. It's just a tough way to learn that lesson at the cost of credit.

Lip was at least partly responsible for the whole letter fiasco but I think he's using it as a reason to pull further away from the family and the neighborhood. He's changing and I think he's realizing he no longer wants that life, I think it's one of the more interesting storylines.

Sammie shooting Frank in the house was a little silly and over-the-top, even for Shameless. Even more absurd is the fact that no one seemed to care and everyone just moved on with their day. She's a horrible character overall.

Frank and Sammie need to go. Shameless has evolved a lot over the seasons, but Frank has remained utterly stagnant as a character to the point that it doesn't even fit tonally with the rest of the show. It worked at the beginning when Shameless was more brazenly crass and cartoonish across the board, but it's grown so much since then. Basically every other character has been allowed to grow into an actual human being with their own specific charms and foibles with conflicts that are more relate-able. Frank and Sammie belong on a show with a laugh track.

I need to catch up on this show. How many episodes have aired this season?

That's where I am with Lip too. He and Mickey might be the characters who have grown the most over the course of the series, but that doesn't make him immune to being a young man whose gonna screw up occasionally. In fact, this mistake he made ultimately led to him becoming even more personally responsible as evidence by the fact that he was getting his own PO Box at the end there. That lesson would've been lost on a season one Lip.

Exactly the kid is growing up and he's taking his lumps along the way. It's not an excuse but if your from the place he's from. The very definition of becoming a responsible member of society is different. His mom and pops were horrible role models that warped his sense of responsibility. Frank is in his 50's and he just seems to learning he's responsible for himself.

My big take way from this episode I wish Sammy didn't just shoot Frank in the arm. He deserves so much worse than that and keeps proving it week after week. Not only did he rat out his grandson but now he puts Carl in a bad place with a local shot caller.

Kev crossed a line this episode banging the college chick I think. I didn't see him do it but they were naked in a bed.

The Russian prostitute seems to be developing as a character of late. Dropping knowledge after satisfying V, like where did this wealth of wisdom come from.

I really felt bad for everyone having to come to grips with Ian's disease.Everyone has suspected for a long time but the reality of it. That storyline really brought out the feels when you see Debbie running around trying to find him drugs. Or when Lip is having to explain why he can't just take a year off from college. Sad stuff to see, I have a good friend with the same disease. Its hard to remember the person she was after dealing with it for almost a decade now. There are so many ups and downs, getting better then going off the meds, then you think this is bottom. They are going to pull themselves up but nope, it's ****ing exhausting.

I had no problem with what Frank did. I only hated that he used Chucky instead of planting those drugs directly on Sammi herself.

Kev screwing a teen? Ugh. What a sleazy move. V letting that nasty prostitute go down on her and then meeting up with her ex? She's foul but at least she wisened up. I hope the talk with the hooker got her to reanalyze things but its probably too late since Kev more than likely full on cheated on her

Did you see how much herion Carl was put in charge of. That particular drug can put you in prison FOR LIFE! When not charged with possession but attempt to sell, without a doubt Carl and maybe Chucky will be charged with. The only saving grace for Carl is the cops know he is a small fish. Bad thing is once everyone in the neighbor hood knows this. A drug dealer fearing a life sentence is looming has two options. Go on the run or kill every loose end.

@Havok83
Do note that Kev let that nasty hooker go down on him first.

This episode was great Frank is an ******* as usual.

Not to be that guy but, it's not like Kev screwed a high school girl. College girls are adults, ya know.

I like that Frank is conning Sammie, she better not be back next season.

Kevin is such a pig. He has NO time to have sex with his wife bc he's all about those babies, yet the past 2 episodes all we've seen him do is act irresponsibly, getting high, drunk and having sex with multiple college girls. Theres no time in his busy schedule for his wife? Its quite a role reversal bc while he's been out ****ing around, V has been taking care of those babies

Fiona to Sammi: "Why are you still here?" Yes, why are you? Go somewhere

The Lip stuff was so over the top with his teacher just letting him have sex with her at her office during the day when she doesnt even know him. I will say, she was hot

Well, he was being very protective of those college girls...

Haha, I don't know why you have such a hard on for defending V? They're both horrible.

What was there to defend V about in this episode and where was this defending of her?

Even though it was outlandish, Lip banging one half of Rizzoli & Isles is hilarious... she's so hot for her age.

I hope someone murders Sammie, dumb ***** hitting Carl.

She was in NCIS first seasons, one of the agent in Gibbs team.

So far the Lip stuff is the most fun for me followed by Carl story's ( I usually don't like the character very much ).
Franck was surprisingly "nice", he didn't ditch the doctor which I'm sure is not ill.

Hahahaha I seriously love this thread. All you have to do is go back and take a look at some of the conversations about this show and these characters over the last few years and it's gotten heated more than once. I like it. A show sparking so much debate like this. I think the reason is that these characters all seem so real. Say what you want about the things some of these characters do but if you think there has ever been a story on this show that hasn't happened in real life, somewhere, you're deluding yourself. Everybody on this show is so realistically portrayed no matter what type of mental disorder or addiction they have. I've known people and kids just like all of these characters. I could sit here and actually start naming off real life people all of these characters remind me of. People are generally pretty crappy in real life too. Not all the time of course, there are plenty of good people in this world but most people are just out for them and theirs and that's just how it is. This is actually pretty thoroughly represented in Lip's reaction to the financial aid guy phoning in a favor for him and wanting nothing in return. Lip still looks for his angle in it because that's all he's ever known in his life is people only looking out for themselves coming from the streets like that but once he actually starts stepping into a bigger world people surprise him. I was honestly almost expecting Lip to kinda break down in tears there or something.

Really upset Fiona didn't whoop Sammies ass after what she did, and unless they drag it out we all know the illness will keep him from serving any time.

God, that episode ruled. 'Love Is A Battlefield' sing along was wonderful...

And, then they had to make Sammie even worse. **** her, she needs to die and go 6' deep in the community garden next door.

WHY is Sammi still in that house? Everyone hates her and she has no claim on it. Seriously, she should be evicted already

Its obvious Debbie conceived a baby last night. Not looking forward to her pregnancy story next season

For once, I'll echo the Sammi sentiments. My god, woman. Wasn't Carl going to Juvie enough for you?!
