Shane Black Directing Predator Sequel! - Part 1

Genysis' failure was releasing the trailer, it was all downhill from there. No one was going to want to see it following that, if you give away that much of the story in the trailer, then you have a mountain to climb before you've even started.

Did well to get the box office total it did in the end.

This Predator film looks like a re-hash of the original with the last one combined. Just no thanks.

'TERMINATOR GENISYS'' failure was the movie itself, starting with the script and hiring Alan Taylor (who is not cut for directing feature films, especially of this magnitude) to direct it.

Terminator Genish** was doomed right from the awful casting.

....There is that too....

A Terminator vs Predator movie sounds more interesting to me conceptually than an Alien vs Predator movie (hypothetically assuming they never made AvP movies)

I never did quite get that comic; why would Predators fight (what essentially is) Skynet? Predators are in for the hunt; Terminators are mere machines that want to end biological life (generally). What purpose would a Predator have fighting a well oiled machine?

Not particularly something I'd be interested in watching either; I like the blood and gore in the Predator films (among other things); not really something you can properly emulate with Terminators - especially the liquid-metal kind.

You don't need to.
Just wait for the James Cameron-produced 'TERMINATOR' movie directed by Tim Miller.

There’s no guarantee that will be any good either.

If he does have a short role, it's better to keep it under wraps. I can think of two movies that promised him being part of their stories, but ended up being more brief appearances than important, and disappointed fans.

Ahnuld's not in it man, not unless they very bluntly lied Abrams-on-Into-Darkness style, which seems unlikely. Black said he asked him, Ahnuld said no. Ahnuld himself has said he didn't like what he read.

Who is this Ahnuld fella? :loco:

Schwarzeneggerfrausenheisenhausenweinerschnitzel.

Duh.

Considering how long it's taken Cameron to get Avatar 2 off the ground, don't go expecting a Terminator reboot anytime soon!

It's currently in production and it will for sure come out next year.

Cameron also praised Genesys. He later admitted it was to protect the franchise but if it was to protect he should have just said “no comment” when asked his thoughts on the film.

Off the top of my head I would've thought that the Predators wouldn't take too kindly to their 'game' being wiped out by the Terminators/Skynet.

It's odd. The part was probably well written too.

But he has no qualms appearing in Genish**, Escape Plan or The PlanetHollywoodendables.

That tanks the film, He never would have said that.

Yeah I think I’m good with not seeing it haha
You're missing out, man. Check out the profoundness of it.

Good for him. At least this movie can still be better than Predator 2, and I love Predator 2.

This could pretty easily be better than Predator 2.

Coming from someone who, likewise, loves Predator 2.

I didn't love 'PREDATOR 2', but I liked it ( mainly because of the cast and some kick-ass scenes). But I agree that this could easily be better than 'PREDATOR 2' and also 'PREDATORS' (which was fun, but ultimately an inferior rehash of the original).

No way this happens. This will be bad, like really bad. If it gets over 40% on RT I will be shocked.

I just don't understand how some people don't see it in the footage....
