Shane Black Directing Predator Sequel! - Part 2

That trailer reminds me so much of the 2010 remake of A Team. I'll be surprised if this gets above 50% on RT.com, but maybe shane's goofball reject characters and the absurdity of it all will win critics over. Munn and the forced humor look like the weak links.

That was the best trailer so far. Didn’t care for the music choice they used. But otherwise it looks fun.

Doesnt look any good. How many trailer we got now? There wasnt one where I would say it got me excited.

Like I told ya'll, it was fun to read the script. Yes, the intro to this movie pretty much sets the tone. Olivia Munn's character is the only meh character imo.

I still think the Super Predator is utterly pointless. I have seen nothing in the Trailer that a regular Predator couldn't have done. But now **** looks super ridiculous, because the Predator is like Hulk sized.

That's crossover potential right there.

The red band trailer is badass, they definitely should have led with that after the first teaser.

I can't get over how ridiculous this looks.

A guy who can run like lighting is believable...but a giant alien is too much?

What does one have to do with the other? And it's got nothing to do with believability. I never said it looks unbelievable. I said it looks ridiculous. The new Super Predator could probably crush a human skull with nothing but his thumb and index finger. It's just too much.

I guess this is the next "Solo" movie in where everybody says its "fun" but becomes easily forgettable after? I suppose it's not the worst considering how much in the dumps this franchise is in but it'd be nice if Predator movies were just a bit better than mindless fun for ~2 hours.

So what more do you want from a Predator movie tho? I thought the original was fun too. The action sequences here are good and the team is very likable. The ending cameo is awesome!

I think nostalgia has placed a level of quality that wasn't there.

Action looks good but I’d like some tension and drama in a movie involving Predators hunting humans. You seem to love it already and that’s good. I’m sure I’ll like it too but there’s plenty of “fun” movies and they’re all easily forgettable.

And there’s no way the P1/2 movies are only better than the others because of nostalgia. That’s pretty silly to say but you’re entitled to your opinion too and we can agree to disagree.

That second part in your post, what ya talking about, bald man? You forgot to quote someone else. lol

Yes, there is some tension with the main predator haunting down the kid. I just don't want to spoil the flick for you guys, but feel free to ask anything, if you want. I'll use spoiler tags.

The tension that made the first Predator so great as Dutch's team are stalked through the jungle will never be replicated or recaptured, I remember when I first saw the film that I had no idea what to expect or what the Predator looked like, that kind of mystique is gone, especially in the internet age.

So to me the best we can hope for is for directors to make some great action movies out of the property, the way Cameron approached Aliens, as he realized the cat was out of the bag with the creature so slow burn tension was off the table after the first film.

The opening sequence felt like a cool nod to the original.
