I wonder what character is on the left.

That image really captures the Big meets Superheroes vibe they're going for

The licensing show from Las Vegas.

I have a bad feeling about this... :csad:

Last time WB went goofy we got GL. Or was it JL? Oh well. Don't think we'll be seeing any footage anytime soon.

The guy there said they showed a sizzle reel and the Shazam Family in costume.

So I guess the other character to the left is probably one of the Shazam family.

I like what I'm seeing.

Yeah except GL is not supposed to be goofy and Shazam is. His nickname is "The Big Red Cheese" for a reason.

Yes I would definitely push back Shazam's release date to either June, July or even August of 2019 or even push it all the way back to 2020

Why would WB push it to 2020? If it gets pushed back, it will likely move to a summer 2019 spot. If 6 Million Dollar Man doesn't go into production on schedule, I can see WB pushing Shazam to May 31 or August 2, no later than August. I have a feeling WB is keeping that April date because it's a nice cushion between MCU films. If Shazam gets similar buzz and reviews to WW, it has 3-4 weeks to itself before Avengers 4 comes along.

I like it! Light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek, similar to what Marvel did for GOTG.

Footage was shown at Licensing Expo. Shout out to Johnny Frost for finding this.

Honestly, my biggest worry at the moment is that they're rushing things by doing the full Marvel Family in the first movie. Otherwise, the look works for me, Levi fits the part like a glove and what they're aiming for here makes sense.

Fingers crossed it works out.

Having all of them could mean more toys and merchandise. So, there’s that.

WB doesn't have a big summer blockbuster for 2019 so pushing Shazam to May would make sense especially considering Marvel could potentially move up Avengers 4 to April which would give Shazam less breathing room.

Marvel has not pushed up Avengers 4 to a day-and-date release, it looks like they're going back to a staggered international rollout, with the domestic release on May 3. And they like having a 2-3 month cushion between releases, I doubt they will move A4 up an entire month.

But even if Avengers 4 moves up to 4/26, Shazam still has 3 weeks to itself and spaced far enough away from Captain Marvel prior. They can co-exist just fine.
