We will have to see how they differentiate Sivanna's powers from Black Adam's powers but Sivanna's powers usually don't last long.

He seems to retain his powers given the different times of the day shown in the teaser (the day and night shots). Regardless, I’m sure Black Adam would have a different level of mastery with the powers, that’s if they even decide to use him anytime soon.

More importantly Sivana's use of the powers are destroying him, and makes him decrepit (becoming the more classic Count Orlok looking version) , since he taps into the power "unnaturally" through science.

H I’m sure Black Adam would have a different level of mastery with the powers, that’s if they even decide to use him anytime soon.

Surely they’d want to get The Rock into the universe asap. He will bring a chunk of box office dollars with him.

Adam will likely be the post credit reveal. Set up for next film.
Sivana in accessing the power, likely unlocks whatever was keeping Adam prisoner.

Different motive, Sivana (through science) is accessing the power to supposedly save his family it's killing and corrupting him.
Adam was the original champion, who could not let go of or share power (hence what makes Billy different) .
And he'll be coming back to claim it all for himself.

The teaser was worth for the that transformation scene alone! Another win for the DCU!

It aired during the football game, but was cut down to like 20 seconds. In other words, it's rushed and it's led to at best mixed reactions. Of course, some of those reactions are from people who probably would never admit to liking a DC film even if they spend their 10 bucks to see it opening weekend.

Likely the young Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, who is tested but not chosen. Yet gets his glimpse into the realm of magic.?

Also it's funny when people compare to Harry Potter, I remember watching the first film, and during the train station scene, thinking so like Captain Marvel origin. ...and is that a lightning bolt logo?
I guess it depends on your point of reference and what you encountered first.
