Shazam Shazam General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

They'll probably address it in some way, if they even need to in the sequel, where they go in deeper about the whole thing, usually the whole 'can i continue this' seems to be a theme, but yeah, it can be easily explained in a throwaway line.

I wonder what Cavill is thinking, he reads these boards, he must be feeling weird, seeing 'his' superman on screen, it getting fairly positive reviews as cameo's go and thinking, how would it have looked with me smiling on the end!

Cavill's gone and he's not coming back. Just like Ezra Miller and Ben Affleck. He's moved on and so should the fans.

Sandberg definitely did a good job. He didn't hit a home run, but he did OK. Seemed more like a Marvel Ant-Man/Ant-Man and the Wasp type of film, which is fine. Zachary Levi was the best part of the movie IMO. Glad he finally got a starring role like this.

Man this movie was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it way more than I was expecting, especially considering how lukewarm that Comic-Con trailer left me feeling last year. Zachary Levi was really solid casting IMO even though I still might not be a huge fan of the costume.

I also surprisingly really enjoyed Mark Strong as the villain in this, but he usually always brings his A game. Holy crap did this movie get dark at times though. I'm sure some kids will have nightmares lol.

I agree.
Pretty good movie.

Mark Strong gave a great performance, even though his character behaved like a generic villain.

You know, I had the same thought.
He was great, but the character was underwritten.
We might se him again, though.
It is very possible.

I think this movie is markedy better than those Antman movies because although its comedic it has a lot of genuine heart and lets its dramatic scenes BE dramatic without punctuating it with a joke because God forbid the audience is allowed to actually feel some emotion. I like that DC in general, for better or worse, doesnt opt to deflate emotional tension in their movies and hope they continue that.

The sequel to Ant Man had plenty of heart.
It was about risking everything for family.

I’ll have to rewatch it then because although i dont remember much from that movie, I just remember a lot of yucks. Nothing in that hit me in the gut like THAT scene with Billy Batson and a certain other important character in the third act of this movie.

I was surprised they hadn't fast tracked that.
