I don't think that's realistic. DDL has gone on the record several times saying he isn't interesting in these types of films (big budget, studio films). Honestly, if Ritchie somehow managed to convince him, I'd die of shock.

i was just about to come in here and post that way back right after the first movie someone posted a picture of mycroft with the suggestion of stephen fry playing him and then you came in here and quoted your old post. ever since i saw that i felt that i would be disappointed if anyone else played him. good job

Yeah, man. Just light Lighthouse and other people have said, not having Fry would just be so disappointing. As a huge fan of the first one, I am extremely happy to see where this sequel is going.

I should watch the first film again. Heck, I should buy it being that I loved it so much.

I'm reading A Study In Scarlett for Detective/Mystery Fiction right now and I'm loving it so far. When I read it, Holmes is definitely a combination of RDJ and Cumbernatch for me.

Yeah I liked it. Moriarty could have been better though but still it was good.

I love it too. I agree, Moriarty should be toned down a bit, but other than that, who the hell saw the reveal coming?

Anyway, Cumbernatch plays an excellent Holmes. Especially with the modern spin on the idea. I can't wait to see more episodes.

I finally saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo... not as good as the book but still a solid adaptation with a standout performance by Noomi Repace. I was already excited about Sherlock Holmes 2 but now that I've seen some of Repace's work, I'm even more hyped.

^It really looks like GR is getting a great cast together for this sequel, I hope it improves on the first movie which I thought was good but not spectacular.

SH2 is likely to start filming this month and The Avengers starts filming in February 2011, not sure about Gravity but I'm pretty sure if it starts moving maybe it will shoot in summer 2011.

I'm a bit confused about that project. At first it seems that Gravity has a single lead judging from the articles that have been released and that is has been going back and forth on who will play the female lead, but Imdb listed Downey as one of the leads so is it now a movie with two leads? But it could be wrong and if so my bad.

Well I think there's 2 gravity's one I think is Roland Emmerich's Zero-G earth Gravity. And then Cuaron's Gravity where its something in space.

I'm very excited about the addition of Noomi Rapace from DRAGON TATTOO in Sherlock Holmes 2, and if Ritchie can get DDL to play Moriarty then this could become one of the greatest sequels ever.

moriarty is holmes' arch nemesis, so after getting through the entire collection of SH, moriarty appears a grand total of one book (the final problem) so he isn't like norman osborn to spidey or lex luthor to superman or joker to batman in that they constantly dog the hero.
