I started reading the Conan Doyle stories since last weekend. I finished The Boscomb Valley Mystery and that was brilliant. Like The Red Headed League and A Case of Identity. This stuff is pure brain candy. I just bought the new House of Silk and that's great so far too. Holmes has pretty much become my favorite literary character sans comic book characters.

And I gotta say, when I'm reading these, I hear RDJ and Law in my head. Especially when Holmes is deducing.

Wish the trailers/TV spots would quit playing up the film's humor. I don't think it would hurt the marketing campaign to focus a little on Moriarty (a very famous foe) and the mystery at hand, rather than one-liners and slow-mo fights.

That's odd. I thought McAdams had only a cameo.

Any chance we'll get Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles? :word:

Mark it down.

Gladstone will save the world from annihilation.

Not the same dog from the books but a fine mutt! :woot:

Haha, they're on the trail for Moriarty and they finally spot him, Watson raises the gun and Holmes happens to catch us looking at him.

"Well... hello there."

Based on the shadow isn't Moriarty suppose to be standing in the other direction of Watson's gun?

I like that castle behind Moriarty. I really loved the pseudo-occult angle of the first movie as well.
