Alright, the tie-breaker is over!

For the tie-breaker, I asked this question:

Which sequel won the Academy Award for Best Picture, when no other installment in the series won the Best Picture Academy Award?

First person to get it right would win, and only first answer counts.

Parker Wayne came in first with the answer: The Silence of the Lambs

Gotham Knight came in with the answer: The Godfather Part 2

Gotham Knight is wrong, cause The Godfather won Best Picture at the Oscars.

This brings me to Parker Wayne...The Silence of the Lambs novel IS a sequel to Red Dragon, which was made into the movie Manhunter...but, Manhunter is not in continuity in that series. Red Dragon was made as a prequel later, so The Silence of the Lambs film is in fact not a sequel.

The correct answer was: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
