Same here... But I still find it sad that he had to go out this way after surviving the Holocaust.
Either way... I'm with you in the sense that I'd rather go out that same way than any other way.
Maybe it was surviving the holacaust that gave him the strength to do it? Perhaps you only find the inner strength to sacrifice yourself like that after going through something like that. Can say one thing, he cared about his students more than he cared about his own life.
