as completely awful and disgusting as all this is, i kinda wonder how anyone can really be shocked that this happened? i tell you now, it WILL happen again in the future. this whole incident will spark a social discussion on the topic that will be nothing more than a flash in the pan yielding no real constructive results to deter the problem in the future.

I wasn't all that shocked. Then again, I sent off for an application to join the police the other day, on the same day that two officers were shot one city up for me. Neither of them were killed, but only because the shooter was out of his mind on acid.

You just kinda gotta force yourself not to be shocked. Nothing you can do about it. Its already happened.
